It has been a sneaky transformation because there has been rumblings much of the season that the team was not meshing, the coach was in over his head and the GM had too many mistakes weighing him down, but I think it is officially time to look at the Bulls as a quality team that could make a move up the ranks here the rest of the season.

After basically dismantling the Magic tonight, it appears that the rotation the Bulls are running is pretty balanced and pretty deep.

Most around the league have known that Rose has been having a good season almost from the get-go, but the sneaky part of the equation has been the development of players like Ty Thomas and Noah. They both seem to be accepting of role positions and becoming fairly consistent in them.

add to that a nice season from Gordon, an apparent return to health of Hinrich and Deng and two of the best deadline deals (landing Salmons, Miller and Thomas) and Chitown has assembled quite the little team there.

starters:

Rose
Gordon
Deng
Thomas
Noah

bench:

Hinrich
Salmons
Tim Thomas
Brad Miller

With a relatively easy schedule the rest of the way, I could definitely see them moving to a #6 seed and maybe higher.

who knew?
