  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.

Espn calls it official.  They've got a nice core of starters by adding Chandler.  Krstic and Collison off the bench gives them a nice big man rotation too, although there's not much offense there.  This could bump them up to 30 wins next season.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

ESPN.com reported early Monday that the Hornets -- who are looking to move Chandler mostly for financial reasons -- were in talks with the Thunder on a trade that would net the expiring contracts of forwards Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox.

The true goal of todays NBA outside the few teams that are true contenders.

Then why are the Thunder taking him on?  They are not exactly a contender.

Because they actually want to win a few years down the line. A core of Chandler , Durant, Green and Westbrook coupled with whatever you get from the 7 picks or whatever they have is a ridiculously strong core.

Wow. OKC got him for a song. They didn't even have to include any of those first round picks they've stockpiled.

This says to me that Collison or Swift can be attained.

Is there any way Ainge could leech off this trade? I know it's trade deadline time, but I love the idea that us opening up a roster spot somehow has to do with this potential trade.

Doubtful. Ainge could use the trade exception generated by the Cassell trade to take on Sean Marks or Melvin Ely, saving New Orleans a little coin. That's about it.

{Edit: I think those guys are both on minimum salaries, which don't have to abide by CBA guidelines. So Ainge could offer to take those guys on without having to use the TE.}

Either of these two would bring more off the bench than POB brings...

Very nice core.  This team could make some noise in a couple years.  It looks like Durant is going to be an absolute superstar and there are some pretty nice young pieces around him.  This team has come such a long way in a very short time.  They really rebuilt quicky after dealing Ray.  And like some others posted, maybe we could get Swift now.

So, who thinks we´ll see an "Odom + Farmar for Chris Paul" trade next summer?

EDIT:  :P

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I'm thinking the only thing we could get/want f/ the Thunder Bisons is Earl Watson to back up Rondo.  I don't exactly know what they would want off of our roster though.  Watson is making around 6m/yr.

I wasn´t serious.
The Hornets give their stars away for basically nothing, and the Lakers get their stars for basically nothing...

Huh, I was thinking the opposite actually.  Take it with a grain of salt, as I don't watch either team too much, but I thought that NO made out pretty well here.

Chandler seems to be benefiting greatly from playing with Chris Paul.  I don't really think he that much better than Chris Wilcox at the end of the day.  Certainly CW will be able to finish the 5-6 alleyoops a night that comprise all of TC's offense.  And they add a vet rotation player who fills their most glaring need, front court depth.

idk, am I under valueing Chandler too much?  he just hasn't shown me much more than the putback dunk.  He doesn't seem to posess any post moves, doesn't commmand a double and he can't hit jumpshots.  Good defender and rebounder sure, but so is Wilcox...
