I don't know how I missed this and maybe it has already been mentioned on this site (if it has, sorry for being behind the times), but why wasn't Doc coaching the East?  I thought it was the two finals coaches.  Phil was for the West, but why was Brown coaching the East?
a coach cannot coach twice in a row.
Once a CrotorNat always a CROTORNAT  2 times CB draft Champion 2009-2012

Nice to be back!

Few thoughts:

We now have consecutive years where the Dunk champion didn't actually have a legitimate Dunk. Howard and his "throw down" last year, and Nate with his "step off your friends back" Dunk. If that is allowed, then I should be in the dunk contest. I did that for years. It should have been D-Q'd...

The 3 point shoot out was absolutely terrible. I bet we could get a few guys from this blog that could have competed with them. Worst shooting performances I have seen in years. Should have had Ray or House in there.

I was mixed about the dancing at the first. I absolutely LOVED Shaq's pre planned thing and thought it was perfect for the occasion. I absolutely HATED the guys on the East squad that tried to dance out there when announced. Duncan did it just right. Look up and wave, and then act like you had been there before. Lebron looked like an idiot.

All in all a pretty stupid event that I wish the big three had stayed home and gotten rest instead of attending. Yes it is an honor, but it doesn't help us win a championship and they could have used 3-4 extra days resting.

I could only force myself to watch about 20 minutes all weekend.  Ironic that Shaq and Kobe won co-MVP's.  Just a message from Shaq to what might have been if Kobe wasn't such a whiner...I really don't care for All Star weekend...all showboating and no defense or teamwork.  I went into chat, but no one was there, so I went to Comcast chat for a while...
