Champ what are your thoughts after seeing Hibbert live? He's interested me I thought he was going to be a stiff coming out of school but he's really played better then I thought this year especially lately.

Hibbert generally has been about what everyone expected...solid in short minutes, but generally unimpressive.  Not much of a shot and not enough lateral quickness or strength to be a legit inside defender.  Tonight though, it looked like he's improved his footwork and he did a great job when isolated in the post against Ilgauskas - but maybe that should be taken with a grain of salt.  Personally, I'd like to see him rebound more...most of his games have lacked any memorable impact so far, but there's some potential there.

thanks... tp

No problem.  I always enjoy talking about soft big men.  Ask me about Bruno Sundov next...

Yeah, I really like the way Granger approaches the game.  I've been following his comments related to his injury, and the way he's playing through pain is admirable.  I like the fact that he's playing in the all-star game, too; it shows that it means something to him.  That being said, I see his situation as somewhat similar to Pierce's elbow injury a couple of years ago, and I remember at the time that I was calling for Pierce to sit.  Ah, the tanking years.

Agreed.  Granger has become my favorite non-Celtic in the league, and it's scary that he still has room to improve.  I can't see him as a number one guy though - pair him up with a legit big man and that's a dangerous team.

I don't think Doc is eligible, because the same coach can't coach two years in a row.

Mike Brown is crying and whining about how the game was stolen from his team, and LeBron is doing the same thing without actually making reference to the officiating (obviously doesn't want the fine-- it would set him back in his quest to become a billionaire). It's one thing for a team's fans to complain about officiating or a call-- I do it often-- but for a coach to come out without much justification and blast the refs like Mike Brown did is really pathetic, and frankly, I'm not surprised, because Cleveland has become the sulky prima donna team of the league.

Mo Williams isn't an all-star! Wahhh  :'(

It was a CRAB DRIBBLE! WAHHH  :'(

Cleveland basketball gets disrespected... wah  :'(

and now...

IT WASN'T A FOUL! IT WAS FOR LeBRON ON THE OTHER END, BUT IT WASN'T A FOUL IN THIS VERY PARTICULAR SITUATION!....wah wah wah  :'(

keep it up Cleveland. Maybe if you keep complaining you can lose all of my respect, instead of just most of it.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

That's funny...I remember Doc Rivers being slapped with a fine for yelling at the refs and a few Boston players disagreeing with a game ending non-call just last week...

This seals it, NBA officiating has an agenda, period.  Anybody who tells you otherwise doesn't watch.  Does anyone think if that was not LeBron that call would have been made with .4 when he and Granger have an equal right to the ball?  Kobe maybe.  C'mon, that is just absurd.  Then Mike Brown and LeBron have the balls to complain on the subsequent play after the gift they just received. O'Brien was smart to run the exact same play and put the onus on the refs after that ridiculous favorable treatment.

LeBron is so talented, it is really disgusting how he whines and expects every call to go his way.  When you have that much physical advantage, you don't need the extra help of the officials.  David Stern "there is no problem here, people have wild conspiracy theories in fantasy land" looks ridiculous with the state of officiating in the NBA.  It is either corrupt, or if not, incompetent, neither one is acceptable.

I agree with everything you said.  The officiating in the NBA is terrible!  Corrupt! >:(

O'Brien was very smart on calling that play, as KJ33 said.

The difference being, that was probably one of the first times Doc has ever put down the officiating, whereas Mike Brown makes it his second job, especially when it comes to LeBron.  Because he knows that LeBron is his meal ticket, and if he doesn't keep LeBron happy, he's out.

MMOH is usually pretty rational I would love his thoughts on how that went down.

Ya, I watched the end of that game and am absolutely, 100% shocked that Mike Brown is complaining.  When Bron was "fouled" Granger didn't even touch him ... horrible call.  When Granger was fouled, it actually was a foul ... Bron moved him several feet with his body.  Generally, however, you don't see that call with 0.2 left, but, it was a much needed makeup call and made up for one of the worst calls I've ever seen in my life.  My only regret is that I'm in the playoffs of my fantasy league and have Bron, Granger and TJ Ford going ... so an OT Pacers win would've been much better. LOL.
