This should diminish the frequency of "trade House" and "Pruitt is the solution" threads. I don't think JR Giddens should get heat for this one, as most of the people here were ready to ship House away or take away his minutes just a couple of weeks ago.

House has always been like this, he goes with cold and hot streaks. I don't think that who is with him on the floor matters much.

Not me!

I think the biggest think that Eddie is doing right now is taking his time before he releases his shot. Think about it like a scorer who has to hit a couple of layups in order to get his outside shot going. Well for Eddie, those layups right now are his open jumpers. On his open jumpers, instead of catching the ball, bouncing off the ground like a rabbit, and releasing quickly (like he usually does), House is catching, stepping into his shot, and shooting relatively methodically. Then, after hitting his open jumpers, his confidence soars, and he's able to convert his rushed, contested shot attempts.

As we learned in the playoffs last year, and we're learning again right now, don't give up on Eddie! He'll come back and make you eat your words if you do.

Eddie is amazing right now but I still don't like him just like the rest of the Boston point guards!

I don't understand how you have racked up
16 Tommy Points. Seriously, I do not get it.

A TP scandal has rocked the CelticsBlog community.   Investigations uncover that Roy Hobbs and Wide Load have been skimming TP's off the top for years.

Just follow the post trail, folks.  You follow the post trail and you find those missing TP's...

The amount of tommy points JR Giddens has = amount of tommy points each new Celtics Blog member should immediately be given.

I think the main reason for Eddie's 4 game terror is that he is playing his natural position(2 guard).  Even before these past 4 games, Eddie has been playing better, because Doc has been playing him with Rondo and Pruitt.  Before TA's injury, he almost plaid exclusively at the back up point guard, and he struggled.  When you ask House to bring the ball up against pressure, and set the offense up, it takes away from his shooting.  When he is allowed to just find his spots and be ready to shoot, he is a much more effective and efficient player.  SHOOT EDDIE, SHOOT !

Lucky for us he isn't a PG then.

Eddie is playing off the ball and has been the recipient of a lot of good looks.

It's that simple.

This only upsets me because its going to be that much harder to get one of those House Player shirts now! Keep shooting EDDIE!!!!
"Sam Cassell was heckling on the sideline when I walked down, He looked at me and was like, ‘You're getting the ball, I know you're getting the ball!'
said Allen.

And did Cassell, a man of many words, have anything to say after that?

"No, I told him he needed to wear a tie."

Eddie is one of those guys I can never get angry at, even when he cant hit the broad side of a barn...first of all, for his great contribution in the finals and for staying ready in the playoffs, after playing the whole regular season and getting benched to start the playoffs, then once he got his oppurtunity in cleveland, the gret hustle and heart he showed.
He is what he is, a streaky shooter who hustles, talks smack and cheers from the bench, how can you not love this guy?
his name being chanted in the garden was AWESOME

Anyone notice in that second half when he hit that first three off Pierce's dish that he turned to PP and said, holding a finger up, "That's one". Then when PP gave him the next one turned and said "That's two" holding 2 up? I wonder what little game/contest they have going on. It would be interesting to know. It is obviously between the two of them because he already had hit a few threes at that point.

paul got 4 assists in 4 minutes with Eddie off that screen, so you may be on to something.

It reminds me of those stories you'd read in the books about the 80's teams. I forget where i read it, but i heard a stroy one time that they were so bored with the regular season and blowing bad teams out at one point that bird bet someone he'd have a great west coast swing only shooting left handed. He did, and had an awesome trip.

I'm sure stuff like that goes on all the time (which is cool) and we never get to hear about it.  ;D

kg was funny in the post game press conference about it.  kg, paul, and doc all lobbied for eddie to be in the 3 pt contest.  i'd like to see him in it, but traditionally jumpshooters dont bold as well in the contest as set shooters.

I agree that he is a good reserve SG, terrible PG.

Celtics have one PG right now.  (Possible 2 if Cassell has anything left in the tank)

Calling him a terrible PG is a bit much. We did win a crucial game in LA during the finals with House playing the backup point minutes (greatest comeback ever in the Finals anyone?).  I agree he is FAR from ideal as a PG...heck he'll even admit that I bet.  But stop being a ****' buzz kill on E House.  He's on fire shooting the ball lately and actually playing some fairly decent defense, especially within the team concept.
