What if no trades/signings are made?

What do you all think if no moves are made? ie, what if PJ Brown doesn't come out of retirement for the 2nd time...if Joe Smith doesn't get bought out? or if he does, ends up signing elsewhere...if Marbury is traded or never gets bought out... What other possible moves can this team make in order to improve its deficiencies, give itself the best possible chance at another run come playoff time? 

And if the roster stays as it is now, how do you predict the rest of the season to go? Another 2 for 9 stretch? What about the playoffs?
