Yeah, I know where you're coming from IP. I don't let it bother me too much because as much as I like the plot, I think my main draw is the character interaction... they have some good comedy in there and the ability of the show to parady the genre and poke fun at itself. We'll see where it goes next season, but admitedly this show should conclude soon and I've heard as much from the creator if not mistaken.

As for shows this season, here were my favorites in no particular order:

#1-Life. Completely agree with you. Awesome show.

#2-NCIS. Really this is my favorite procedural show, with an amazing character interaction and the plot is pretty good for a procedural.

#3-Fringe. Come on, any show that mentions Len Bias it's an instant winner.

#4-Supernatural.

#5-House. I don't know if many agree with me, but this was one of my favorite seasons, especially in the last 8 episodes or so.

#6-24

Good call on Fringe..it bumps LOM to #5, and Supernatural to #3.

Season 5 starts in a week, here's a promo to get in the mood:

Apparently the plan is to end the series after this season... if for whatever reason the show gets another season, the current arc will be finished regardless.

Now, time to kill Lucy.

Yes. I say I'm frustrated by the show sometimes but I never miss it. Very good.

Just watched the premiere, and it was good. Meg is back... I loved her in the first season (of course, the particular actress who is now in Dark Blue).

So Lucifer found his vessel, a former Cylon. Looking forward to the next episode, and seeing how the season will play out. Will it be a constant hunt for Lucifer? Will we have the usual "monster of the week" setup?

If this indeed ends up being the final season, I hope it goes all out.  Good start to the season as far as I'm concerned. I like that the brothers are against Demons and Angels both.

I like that the actual influence of 'god' is kinda secondary. It can make for a deus ex machina moment, but it kind of solves the "superman" paradox of "why doesn't he just kill the bad guys?"

Or we can simply explain it away because of "free will".

Yeah but I mean...this is Satan. Not some kid deciding whether or not to steal some sweet tarts.

Cass can help here, but not here, god intervenes here but not here, hence the Deus Ex Machina.. I don't think its something you can chalk up to the free will paradox. THis is a plan brought on by angels demons and man, its bigger than the traditional "let man screw it up for himself" kinda motif. And if it was only Free Will, why would God intervene on anyone's behalf at all? Its almost like he's being limited.

Well in any case I like it.

I liked the latest episode quite a bit. I wonder if we'll start seeing more of the other hunters now that they appeared in an episode and ready to face the appocalypse.

So Sam and Dean went their separate ways, I wonder how long this will last. Probably half an episode.

2 things:

1) Here is where I think Sam is going with this whole: "My own way" thing...
He's going to try to find the other 3 horsemen of the apocolypse, and he's going to take their rings. That's what they were talking about with the whole power deal.

2) I've said the phrase "deus ex machina" more times in thsi thread than I have my entire life.

About the second episode, did any of you laugh when Castiel went, "I know what to do... we just have to find God"?

I just finished the third episode, and really liked it. Don't know why I didn't think about Sam being the vessel sooner, it should've been quite obvious, especially with Dean being Michael's vessel.

I thought Castiel stole the show in this third episode, the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. house scene was great. And when they went to talk to the deputy too.

Funny story, I missed out on the last 10 mins of last weeks epi...

I just watched it after seeing BC's post. I love the symmetry. I have nothing else to say. Love the symmetry.
