The Boston Globe is reporting that KG will guard Shaq.

However, Dell'Apa doesn't make it clear whether he knows this for a fact, or if he's just making an assumption.

He also says Big Baby is expected to play tonight.

So, as between KG and Scalabrine (assuming Scalabrine starts) which one is Shaq going to guard.  Or is Phoenix going to play zone 100% of the time?  If so, the Celtics ought to be able to beat that zone up the floor.

Really, the key to this game is Rondo, not the Celtics' defense on Shaq.  The Celtics should be taking wide open shots while Shaq is still huffing and puffing halfway up the floor.

Obviously, Perkins would be the preferred choice to guard Shaq.  But since he is out, I say Big Baby should get the start.

He obviously has the body, but he also has the lower body strength to guard Shaq in the post.  He should at least see some extra playing time.  KG is too skinny and not strong enough to guard Shaq consistently, and Scal, well... yeah.

No, KG will get respect from the officals.  BBD will get called for a blocking foul every time Shaq charges into him.

I'd just play the rotations they've been playing and worry about Amare, not Shaq.

I say run the big guy till he faints. Theres no way he can keep up with the Celts bigs. Not since his days in Orlando has he been a runner.
"Sam Cassell was heckling on the sideline when I walked down, He looked at me and was like, ‘You're getting the ball, I know you're getting the ball!'
said Allen.

And did Cassell, a man of many words, have anything to say after that?

"No, I told him he needed to wear a tie."

Sure then when they have to scrape him off the floor midway though the 1st we can try someone else...
In all seriousness I think Scal may actually beable to do something with his outside shot so may as well try.

Scal is very irritating on defense.

All I want to see today is Scali posterizing Shaq.

I'm with those who say run, run, run. Need to make Shaq regret not losing those 70 extra pounds he has.
