I love this team and I love you guys! It really adds another dimension watching the game and then being able to talk about it. God that was so stressful. I'm gonna have a beer.

Yes indeed.  I watch on ESPN 360 and can just switch screens, almost feel like I have a posse.  Oh yeah, and I'll second that motion for a beer.

The two Hawks games have now been the two best-played games (by both teams) of the year.  This really felt like a playoff game, and what a great win to get.  Everything was breaking their way and we stuck in and gutted it out.  Cheers to all.

You gotta respect this Atlanta Hawks team. Both times we played them and both times they made us work for the win.

ray allen misses FT and we win easier. With .7 sec u can still foul a 3 pt shooter

I had the volume off.  Did they have any timeouts left?

I agree with you on this one.  Clank one hard off the rim and they'll never get the board and call timeout with .7 seconds left.

The only thing is if you miss the rim then you might get screwed.  Also coaches like having it so they can't lose the game and 3 points gives them that cushion, unless TA's out there fouling jump shooters of course.
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

And how many times does that backfire?

With .7, just shoot and make it a 3 point game.

and then you'd have to worry about the alley-op, and when your playing the Hawks its a very real possibility.

Wow 13 pages. Everyone was up for this game! Good game overall. We shot poorly from three and the bench made me cringe a lot. Kevin more than made up for a poor 2nd/3rd quarter offensively by being awesome in the fourth.

Great game. I can't wait till Christmas!

Entertaining game. Nice to see us dig down and grind it out. Love seeing KG step up in the 4th. That finally ally oop was sweet.

I can't believe Joe Johnson missed that ft.

Thought of the night: Perkins doesn't get enough recognition for all he does.

I think the Hawks are the scariest team in the East for us come playoff time. Is anyone else worried that Joe Johnson can blow by Ray at will (and that Ray switched off to let Rondo guard him on a crucial play at the end). Should TA come in for these moments or would it hurt egos and chemistry?

Yes. Totally agree. We could've easily lost this game if Perk didn't step it up like he did on defense.

A tip in is the only way you can score realistically in that situation. With Josh Smith, Al Horford, and Marvin in they have some serious big bodies who can jump to try it.

The correct play is to make both free throws and just have them heave a prayer. .7 seconds is too short to get cute. Now if 3 to 10 seconds are left you can try to foul or do other things.
