my assumption is Garnett said something to Baby along the lines of know your role/your just a bench player and Glenn took it personally because he was caught up in the emotions of the game. I don't think it's right for people to jump on Glenn about being a bad teammate etc. because from all accounts Garnett can be a pretty harsh/blunt guy at times, and it's gotta be tough to hear something like that when you love the game of basketball and want to contribute so badly like Big Baby does.

I hope they resolve this problem. On another note, I think its hilarious that there are kids sitting just behind Big Baby when he was swearing up a storm. LOL

I took a major positive from KG's response to the interviewer at the end of the game.  Saying that he would "go deep" with Baby and try to get at what was wrong with him seems like a great way to deal with it.  KG responded like a pro.  I do hope Baby's issues aren't too deep.

I also thought it might have something to do with Baby's freelancing in the offense there before getting pulled.  It seemed like 2-3 possessions in a row he was way too determined to post up, and the ball definitely stuck.  Calls to mind KG's other statement at the finish, that Baby needed to know his role and stay within it...

We don't know what is up with Davis.
It could be anything. He may just have
had a bad day/night. It happens to all
people, pro b-ball players or not.
When I was 22, I didn't always know
how to carry myself. You live and learn.
Give Baby a break.

i think pruitts face is perfect, he has NO CLUE how to react to glen. who knows though, maybe baby can't handle harsh critizism and he cries in practice all the time.

While watching the game, I didn't notice Sam and Tony living it up, knuckleheads.

I don't agree they were acting like knuckleheads. They were both pretty involved in the game and the huddle for guys who aren't playing.. Just cause BBD is having a tantrum that doesn't meant they should go all quiet. That would draw attention to BBD. It's better that they carried on.

Honeslty, its 2:52 in the morning and ive had way too much to drink to post on this board.  However, while I was getting ready to go out is when the reserves were in the game and lead slipped away, and while I was walking back and forth, I noticed two possesions where BBD was a black hole on offense, like someone said before, he was doing what he wanted in the post.  Also, judging from KGs comments after the game (which were professional), he said that BBD just needed to reminded of his role, etc.

I think if BBD doesnt cry about all this, nothing would have been made out of it.  He went out of his way to give KG a high five after the starters came back in and put the game away, so I really dont think much needs to be made out of it.

As hard as it may seem, if youre a young player and youre put in a game where your team is up by over 20, its got to be hard not to grab the ball in the post and say, "Well were up by 20, let me see what I can do down here in a real game situation."  I just think BBD just got carried away with the lead, and it was one emotional player shouting at another emotional player, end of story.

And like I said before.  BBD gave KG a high five after that one time out, and as little as that may seem, he was at the end of the bench and didnt necessarily have to do it, but he did.  Nothing to worry about in my opinion.

........and on a side note...props to KG for letting the young guys know, even in garbage time, this isnt some street ball court to work on your moves and play 1 on 5.

Yeah, you're right. I was amused rather than annoyed anyway and meant "knuckleheads" affectionately, although I realize now that doesn't quite come across in my post.

Also, Greg nicely said - though I'm not as pleased with KG as you are - I do think you're spot on about the high five.

just notice at about 1:30 when KG comes out of the game and he's giving high fives BBD makes sure that Garnett receives his high five. its the first activity that you see from Glen in about 8 minutes.

and at 50 seconds the scal chants start.... :-\

"As a kid, playing football and basketball, Davis would cry and whine after hard tackles and fouls. Coaches, opponents and teammates chastised him, called him a big baby. Eventually, he learned he could shake the criticism if he laughed when he felt like crying. Big Baby was born, the guy who came to a high school costume day dressed in full drag—makeup, lipstick, the works. "Ever heard the song 'Tears of a Clown'?" Temple asks. "That song is about Glen." "

This one is easy guys. BBD over reacted and let his emotions get the better of him. KG handled it just right. The 2nd unit was getting the ripping that they all needed and BBD wouldn't stand in there and take it like a man. He therefore got yanked into take his medicine like the rest of them and stormed off. BBD will take a look at that video, realize he made a big mistake, apologize to his teammates, and it will be over with.

The thing I like the most about this is that KG showed his leadership and demanded more from those guys. As much as a leader as PP is in some ways, he never really did this kind of thing. He would just sulk. KG is most definitely the glue that holds this team together. One day that will be Perk in there. Great example KG!

Couldn't agree with you more,in the past i don't think any player for the C's addressed the issue right at the time things occured, leading to players walking around holding qrudges and not solving things until an explosion. Its best to get it out and over with...way to go KG.BBD will thank him for it in the end.tp for your comment
