Celtics are in their smothering mode right now, where the other team can do nothing to advance their position.

That's an excellent description of it; we haven't seen it a whole lot this season but there it is.  This team is rounding nicely into midseason form.

I dont think Ive ever seen Pierce this unsure of himself....pretty ugly stuff
certainly not helping his 41% shooting percentage

Can anybody recall Rondo playing a better all around game then this one? His awareness level and court vision is at an all-time high for him IMO. Outstanding effort
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Yeah Mike Gorman already said it earlier in the game

  • Let's Go Celtics
Let's not forget what the Pacers did to the Lakers last night...
"Take this down," said O'Neal. "My name is Shaquille O'Neal and Paul Pierce is the (expletive) truth. Quote me on that and don't take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn't know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is the truth."

Game 6 of the finals
He dominated that game defensively and on the fast break. This is the best game I've seen in play as a creator on offense. But that game 6 was special.

Lead is down to 14 though. Can't get complacent. The Lakers had a bigger lead last night.

This team is just so good. They're just such a good basketball team.

Granger would have been a really nice 6th man on this team.   Only 1 pick away from getting him....

Game 6 of the finals

Defensively yes. But this game has been unbelievable with the passing and the rebounding.

21 pts-6 stl-8 ast-7 reb Game 6

13 pts- 11 reb- 12 ast- 3 stl tonight

I really think he's had a better all around game tonight. He's dominated every time he's touched the ball... Not really worth arguing though both were incredible games. The important thing is he looks [dang] good right now.
