We lost Theo today, to cancer of the kidney. He became ill quite suddenly but you also know what they say about cats: they're so pesky they don't show you the are hurting. I could see him feeling terrible yesterday, he didn't want to wash himself, so he was a bit smelly and he was just lying around on the kitchen table. We didn't know it was that bad, so we never really got a chance to say goodbye to him. We did pet him (as his little heart stopped beating) when our vet put him down. He was just 5.5 years old. Very sad day for me, I haven't cried this much since my father passed away more than four years ago. You do end up loving those little buggers, don't you? Sad, sad day. Literally crying as I type this. We do end up loving them. ♥ THEO 2006-2012
So sorry to hear that, ACF. We do love them, and I am convinced they love us right back. It is very, very hard when you lose a pet.
