This is silly but what is new in "professional" sports these days. Why don't they flip a coin before a game to decide who wins, that way nothing will ever happen. Mean while we will pay $100 to watch the coin flip while the players get $10 mil to flip it.

The NBA front office is the league's worst enemy.  It seems half the decisions they make are instantly ridiculed by the fans.  That business really, really needs a change of leadership.

The same people who watch basketball are not the same people that watch figure-skating.  A little contact, energy, a few bumps only adds to the league.  But the morons in the front office want to make the entire league PG so they can cash in on the family dollar, and they crack down on it.

Maybe we should stop booing Stern when he goes to Celtics games? Why not surprise him for once and give him a standing ovation? Kinda like the Mariano Rivera thing.

kg clearly swung his arm at bogut.  the suspension is warrented.  if someone did that to KG or Pierce we would all be clamoring for a suspension.

Even before that game I kind of expected KG to pick up a taunting tech(deservedly) one of these days, but this is absurd.  I couldn't even believe they got techs.  That was the type of after the whistle contact that goes on several times in an intense game, and tons of times in a playoff game.  Posey used to get in a little after the whistle shot almost every game.  I don't know how that deserved a suspension.

It looks like Stern's trying to make NBA more popular and appeal to more casual/non-NBA fans by making it seem more "controlled and civilised".
But Stern just doesn't get it, they are not going to like the NBA either way if they don't like it in the first place, whether they have fights, or no contacts.
I don't know about anyone else, but I love basketball for its contact, sure it's no rugby or football or none of that, but, basketball is a contact sport. There are going to be push and shuffs, players showing their emotions, that's what I love, the intensity of the game, if they get rid of that, I might as well go to the local park and watch hustlers go at it.
