Speak up
"Even a trash can gets a steak every once in a while."
LeBron James, after Celtics second-year guard Gabe Pruitt nailed a 3-pointer in a preseason game last Tuesday.

I got this quote from this boston globe link
If it is possible, this should be pretty good motivation for Gabe when the Celts play the Cavs next.
LBJ hasn't impressed me latly.  A bit too arrogant.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Although, it's clearly negative that statement made no sense. "Even a trash can gets a steak every once in a while"? I don't get it. Maybe I had to hear it for it to sound less stupid.

Usually trash cans just get garbage, but sometimes people throw away good things (like steak).  LeBron obviously isn't a Freegan.

Lame, but it does make sense.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

That really bothers me that LeBron would say something like that, he has been mouthy lately, looks like LeBron is getting that "Im the king and everyone else is dirt" type of ego now huh?...  ::)

"Now", you say?  I was saying this back in May, when everyone on this blog was saying how "classy" LeBron is.  Glad people are finally seeing LeBrick's true colors.

The messiah apparently isn't getting enough love from his worshipers on ESPN and from Mr Stern.

I must have missed the time when the messiah showed humility.  The messiah's ego and arrogance will probably trump his incredible talent.  I don't see a championship anytime soon in his future.

If he'd have said that about Walker I'd have no problem with it because Walker has accomplished nothing in the NBA and is acting cocky.  But Pruitt is doing exactly what Walker should be doing.  He's just playing hard trying to make the roster.

Like you were saying Tony Allen wouldn't make an NBA roster?  ;)

Lebron has had an oversized ego since he arrived here.  Everyone remember the battles Pierce had with Lebron during his rookie
year?  Although PP talks trash as well as anyone, lebron was just a big mouth that really hadn't proved anything yet.  I need to find some clips from those first matches between these two.........

Pierce talks trash on the court which is fine by me that's just a part of his competitive nature which is a huge reason why he is as good as he is.  But he rarely, if ever, talks trash off the court.
