Too bad the ref cost Darren Fletcher
an appearance in the CL Final.
That Rosetti dude must be a friend of
Stern's. Hmmm...

It looked like a good call at first, but after a second look it wasn't.

Poor Darren Fletcher, he would've played a part in the final. However, the team result is what matters, and they delivered.

Hopefully I'll be going back to Rome to see the final...

Terrible start by Arsenal.

There young left back whose name escapes me choked, slipped and let Park score, then Almunia should have saved taht free kick.

Man UTD will finally have to play a tough team in the final after getting an unbelievably easy draw in the knock out stages.

Will be intresting to see what happens between Chelsea and Barca.

I think it was still a penalty even though he played the ball he had to go through the whole of fabergas' body to get the ball. I think that ESPN's analysts are a bit biased both being scotish and Fletcher being scotlands best player

BTW Big respect to the GREAT Ryan Giggs. 800 games and still goes.

I wish he wasn't called offside on that goal. I was so happy for him scoring in his 800th appearance.

On the other hand Sir Alex Ferguson said before the game it would only take one goal to win the game, and he was right. I have a feeling we'll see a lot more offense next game.

I knew we would be seeing more offense, I should be getting ten TPs from you maestro!

All kidding aside... great game played by United. Ronaldo's goal on the free kick reminded me of Beckham, he had some help from the keeper making a terrible play on the ball though. His other goal that was assisted by Rooney was awesome, excellent ball movement all the way down the field. They looked like the celtics on grass.

Darren Fletcher did not deserve a red card. Not only did he make a play for the ball, but he also broke up the scoring opportunity by playing the ball and not the man. Something needs to be done about that rule. If there is ever a situation when a red card should be reviewed it is this one.

I still have faith Man U will prevail either way when all is said and done, but it would be nice to have Fletcher out there as well.

I don`t know about Fletcher.... To me it was a very clumsy tackle. And a not necessary one. His leg is pretty high, he catches both legs of the other player (can`t remember who he was).. I think it was a penalty and of course a red card.

Barcelona is up to one difficult task today. The best diffenders are off (puyol markez) and 99% so is Henry. Possibly the frenchman won`t me missed but on the back the looses are huge. I think Gus will go for an early goal.

Exactly. Terrible call and I feel very sad
for Fletcher. The thing is, if you play the
ball, you can legally break an opponents'
leg. Those are the rules.
The Danish announcer was right in saying
that this Italian man didn't understand the
British style of playing. Shame on you, Rosetti!

I'm more pessimistic than most entering this second leg. I think Chelsea got far too much praise for the result from the first leg, and that their failure to get an away goal could come back to haunt them. If Barcelona get one goal, Chelsea will need two, and that's a very scary proposition because of Barcelona's talent in the counter attack.

Hopefully, they can bully Barcelona and get a result, but I think it's more likely to go the other way.

I predict 3-1 Barca if they score early.
