Of the three new players, Giddens, Walker and O'Bryant, and the almost new player, Pruitt, who do you think will get the most minutes/have the biggest impact on the team this coming season?

My money is on Giddens.  Seems like he is the kind of player Doc likes. Cocky and tough.

Giddens. This is a no brainer, unless O'Bryant or the currently unsigned Bill Walker takes our breaths away and does something unexpected out there. Didn't Clifford Ray already mention that he thought O'Bryant had tools but wasn't ready yet? With regard to Giddens, Ainge expects him to play a complementary role if he demonstrates the right attitude and playing level in training camp.

The biggest impact sure could be O'Bryant (it just may not be positive.)  No one can ignore that Perk has had a lot of shoulder problems, and I remember the staff reporting after the first surgery, that the more it gets injured, the more it will be injured.  That sure would set the stage for celtic-nation to get a long look at POB.  I think he can be a good player in our system, though.

The impact I am looking for is walker showing us all the back-up sf position is under control.

The impact I am most excited about is Pruitt.  This guy has good tools, and I love his quickness for his size.  The fact he saw the floor at all on a team of vets is a miracle, but I don't know that anyone will keep him on the bench the whole game this year.  This year's celtics if they are to be successful will show off a lot of versatility in line-ups and force other teams to match up to them.  I see Pruitt in there with our other point guards at times this year being very hard to stop

Go Celts!

"Sounds like the ice's problem."

If Walker is healthy, it could easily be him.  I think he's a better player than Giddens, and we could use a small forward off the bench.

I think, though, that it will be Giddens, as others have said.  He's capable of playing NBA-ready defense, and that's a skill we can use.

It will be hard for Pruitt to find a steady role with Rondo, House, Ray, and Tony getting most of the 1-2 minutes.  Still, I think when he finally *does* get time, he could surprise some folks.

O'Bryant...  ugh.  Not expecting much this season.  Maybe next.

I really like Giddens and Walker a lot.  I just don't think they will get much play this year at all.  Doc has never been one to play rookies all that much (unless of course we have a team full of rookies) and he also loves TA and House at the 2.  I think Pruitt will have a solid impact but I am actually real excited about Patrick O'Bryant.  I really liked him as a rookie but Golden State was the absolute worst system for him to be in.  He also was picked, I believe, Before Don Nelson got there.  With a summer, and training camp, and preseason with the Clifford Ray/KG/Thibideau effect I truly believe that he could have the biggest impact on this team.

If Perk goes down (which is a real possibility) then O'Bryant is our guy.  That scares the crap out of me but it also gets me a little excited because we could witness a talented young player break out.

JR Giddens no doubt. The guy is like Rondo he was built for defense with great lateral quickness and wingspan.

If POB fits in the system he could be great. Look at ben Wallace his overall game was awful but the Pistons made the best of him.

Well, it's exciting in the same way jumping out of an airplane with no parachute is exciting, I guess.

Jumping out of an airplane with no parachute is suicide.  Jumping out of an airplane with a 7-foot 250 lb man as your parachute?  Who knows what might happen.
It could kill you or it could end up being the best decision you ever made.  That's the exciting part.

TP for that, if only because it caused me to stop and think "under what possible scenario would jumping out of an airplane with a 7-foot 250 lb man as my parachute turn into the best decision I ever made?"

Sounds like a metaphor to me....how about an untested backup parachute.

If I only have to choose from those players I think it'll be Bill Walker.
But the answer to the question posed in the thread title without any qualifications is going to be whoever they sign to fill out their roster and if not him then who they sign midway through the season.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon

Well unless I'm mistaken our only backup center right now is Obie (2) so I think it will be him having the biggest impact w/ playing time etc.  Of the bunch I'm most excited about seeing something that probably won't happen..Pruitt getting some playing time WITH rondo as sg.  Kid has a nice stroke.
