Another boring summer day and time for a new topic. Be honest everyone...

What is your vertical, how tall are you, and can you dunk?

I got about a 30 inch vert (it was 20 a few months ago), I'm about 5'10 and can barely get the ball over to dunk (I've done it a few times though). Hopefully I'll still grow.

Do they measure in millimeters?

Hey nick, who are "they"?  :)

I'm 5'11" and I don't ball much
anymore. Kind of sad, really.
But I was never close to be
able to dunk. But on my team -where
I played for seven years- a lot of
the other guys couldn't do it either.
Even though some of them were close
to 6'7". I guess they were just not
very athletic  ;)

Wow, I'm guessing you can dunk fairly easily.

Not as explosive as I use to be in Junior year of high school, though.

Don't worry, I don't think there's a guy here that's as explosive as they were when they were as junior in high school.

And I don't mean just jumping either.

Fun Topic.

I'm 5 foot 9.

I used to be able to dunk before I ripped ligaments in my ankle.  =0( sad day.  anyways its about two years removed from then.

I can grab the rim on a good day now.

However, vertical is actually measured from taking one step and jumping, we do it with our players every year.

A lot of them can get way above the rim when they get a running start, but its a much different story when you do it as if it were a jump ball.

Anyone interested in increasing their vertical, check out the AIR ALERT programs

Old programs, but I still think they are the most effective.

Most people who use it add at least 4 inches to their vertical.  The most I've seen, one of my players added 10.  which was insane.  On average they gain about 4 though.

Goodluck!

Another boring summer day and time for a new topic. Be honest everyone...

I got about a 30 inch vert (it was 20 a few months ago), I'm about 5'10 and can barely get the ball over to dunk (I've done it a few times though). Hopefully I'll still grow.

was this inspired by my comment that moon had a 47" vert, one inch short of mj? if so, you owe me a tommy point.

It's crazy how you got from 20 to 30 in a couple of months. Congrats.  ;D
