SW, You've done a good job filling out your roster with players that compliment Kobe. Why don't you post it here?

Also, in retrospect would you have made that trade for Kobe?

Only since you asked, Jsaad  ;)....and thanks for the kind words, though I think I have quite some ways to go (this is what happens when you mortgage the entire early portion of your draft to move up 14 spots).

PG: Jerryd Bayless
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Wally World/Q-Rich
PF: Joe Smith/Leon Powe/Jeff Foster
C: Nazr Mohammed

Sixth: Sasha Vujacic

As you can see, it's a bit of a mish-mash, and I'm still figuring out what I want to do with the line-up (and might be moving a couple of players).

But feel free to fire away, folks...

Also, in retrospect would you have made that trade for Kobe?

Interesting question, Jsaad.  I think there's two different questions there in that, no, I think if I had to do it all over again I wouldn't make the trade I made, which gave me the fifth pick rather than the four.  Though I'm very high on the likes of Deron Williams and Garnett/Duncan, there were four truly transcendent picks in this draft in LBJ, CP3, Howard and Kobe.  It was a lucky break that enabled Kobe to fall into my hands, and I think I'd be in an even greater pickle than I already am here if that hadn't occurred.  With that said, I'll stand by what I did for now as 'the ends possibly justifying the means.'  I do stand by the belief (and I know you've been hashing this out with our commish, Jsaad) that it is important to have a big-time player (multiple players, really, which I don' thave) aboard the ship, and I made the move to ensure that I had a franchise centerpiece with whom I was happy.  Gave up a lot, but I think the verdict remains to be seen on how my team shakes it when all is said and done (and just how much better bdm860's Nets are in comparison to my Bulls).  Hope that helps answer the question at least a bit.

Yeah, we're good, I'm just ticked I didn't get back to you in time

That stuckey/felton backcourt is pretty interesting.  I think a lot of people would argue that stuckey should be the primary point with felton at the 2.  Then againt, felton didnt help that arguement last year seeing as he only shot 28% from 3.

Just a thought.

Felton has been pretty poor defensively and offensively from the 2 during his career.

The botch up at the beginning that allowed you to have Kobe did sweeten the deal. You gave up a ton but have been able to get good value where you've selected. I'm interested in seeing what you would have done with your team had you not made that trade. In my opinion, you would have a better team right now had you not.

I think that's likely to be the consensus right now among observers, but hey, in the name of fun, I'm enjoying the challenge of an uphill climb...

The team still has some holes, but it's shaping up nicely.

I think the most obvious hole would be the lack of size coming off your bench.

Why?

You took a PF from the Mavs that wouldn't play much and gave him depth at SF and two real big bodies to defend Shaq.

True, in terms of seven-footers.  Still, Haslem and Wright are both around 6'10", which is large enough in today's NBA to play some center.  I also have three picks next round to make something happen.

Haslem's listed height is 6'8...now you know that boy can't be any bigger than 6'6 and a half then.

Both teams have improved and I got the best player in the deal.

Starters:
C –  Andrew Bogut
PF – Troy Murphy
SF – Gerald Wallace
SG – Kevin Martin
PG – Tony Parker

Bench:
C- Shaquille O’neal
SF – Lamar Odom
SG – Michael Finley
PG – Luke Ridnour

And he still has the best player on the floor.  but now, he has the C to defend and wear down Shaq.

Haha.  Doubtful.  He's played some center in Miami, so I'm sure he'd be capable on my team.  Still, it's a void I'll probably be looking to fill.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I feel like my team hasn't been getting enough love. Let me know the problems people have with my team and I will do the best to alleviate them.

Dwight Howard/Sean May
Kenyon Martin/Stromile Swift
Al Thornton/Bruce Bowen
Larry Hughes/ Eric Gordon
Steve Nash

We are gonna run until our legs fall off. Unlike other fast break teams we can play defense and rebound.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
