kwame brown is a true waste of a draft pick. leave him at that. Him and olowakandi can go live on a island to celebrate their contracts wastes. sign the birdman if we need another big, we could use his energy, size, and block shot ability.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Dallas got ripped off by signing Diop. :). Kwame is a headcase. This guy can't remember set plays. This is crucial for a half court set team. It would be best if the Celtics don't sign him. Can't have two big man projects at a time. The other being Patrick O' Bryant.

Kwame Brown has been an obvious disappointment.

But if he can just add some bulk to back up Perkins with O'Bryant then could have a role like the Candy Man did.

Garnett might be able to get the most out of what talent and potential he does have.

If Kwame had so much trouble dealing with the tough-love that he got from Jordan, I don't know if he is going to respond much better to Garnett.

KWAME = BUST/FAILURE/UNDERACHIEVER

Do we really want to add this to the roster?
I'd rather take a chance on Darius Miles who has been out of basketball for over a year.
That should tell you how I feel about that!

  • all hail garfield-sama!
I think we ought to focus on 1 player for now (O'Bryant), and if that doesn't work, we can do the PJ thing come february.. Our immediate needs now are the backup wing and backup PG positions, maybe they need to be addressed first..

Can this please be the last thread with Kwame Brown's name in it. He's awful. Waste of cash. Leave it at that. Plus bigs aren't our priority. We need offense with wing players that can play D. KB fits none of those descriptions.

I second that. I get sick to my stomach everytime he's mentioned in this forum, especially when someone is considering bringing him to the Celts.

The man wastes perfectly good birthday cake. I want nothing to do with him.

Sign Andersen already, Danny.

Kwame Brown is a one legged man at an a$$ kicking contast. Plus he has a horrrible attitude to go along with it.

Lakers should consider re-acquiring Kwame Brown. He'd be a solid backup for them.

Danny Ainge has said we aren't after any more big men. Please end the non-stop Kwame Brown and Kurt Thomas talks. Our roster is almost set and I hate to break it to you but we aren't signing any big men.

How do you know such a definitive statement?  There is still a roster spot, and arguably the biggest weakness is at the Center position.  While either of those two may not be coming, chances are that the last spot IS used on a big man.

In fact, there was a quote the other day, immediately after Pose signed with NO, in which DA said specifically that they were still talking to some veteran big men (among other things).

Man, signing Kurt Thomas with whatever we've got left of the MLE would solve a LOT of issues.  Can't imagine a player left on the market who would be a better fit in terms of filling a positional need and filling a toughness need.
