The list ranks rookies impact on that years team.  BBD was in and out of the top 10 all last year.  It makes sense that Walker isnt on the list considering he will probably not get any PT this year.

Ah, that explains how Erden ranked so well.

Or Kaun, or any number of other Euros who won't be in the NBA this year.

The list is complete garbage.

It isn't complete garbage.  The first 5 guys seem about right.  You could quibble with the order of the names but the names themselves are reasonable.

It's just sloppy journalism, like so much else that appears on ESPN's website.  Their "contributors" are mostly amateurs; there isn't a Frank Deford among them. How much does ESPN pay these guys, anyway?  Probably not much, so ESPN gets what it pays for.

Well...  to me, getting 5 names right out of 50 is complete garbage.  :P

He should have just stopped the list around #25, because after that, it literally looks like he picked names out of a hat.

I guess the list isn't bad for someone who probably did it off the top of his head. I mean in that case it's just impressive to remember 50 names at all.

But seriously, it lacked anything close to intelligent insight, even with the top 10, where there should've been something to say, even if we've heard it all before.

If the folks on this forum were to start a thread every time someone on ESPN did something stupid, we'd be posting 24x7 and would have no time for anything else.

Anyone know if Jemele has written anything recently. Maybe an article comparing rooting for the Celtics to rooting for a hurricane? Link please. :P

*shudder*  The fact that she has a dream job at Page 2 while tens of thousands of superior sports writers are struggling to find jobs is just embarrassing.  I cringe every time I read a sentence written by that woman.
