I think we can all put to bed the thinking that Kobe has a greater legacy than Shaq. Kobe ran Shaq out of LA and Shaq won it all a few years ago with Miami. Now, Kobe is proving that he is NOTHING without Shaq.
Kobe needed Shaq
Shaq didn't need Kobe!

No we really can't put that to bed. Kobe Bryant was just named the League MVP and came within two games of winning the title. He's still only 28/29 and his team will likely be one of the most dominant forces in the league over the next 5 seasons.

i disagree with this. kobe is amazing, i take ntohing away from him. i think he is a lot like a-rod. i hate a-rod and kobe, but think sometimes they are so good and can make it look easy, that both guys receive a lot of criticism when things do not go their way. kobe is an amazing talent and while he did not have a great series due at least partially to some great defense, his supporting cast did not help a ton either.

It stretches the line of reason by putting it all on Kobe..Boston was simply the better team...Shaq had Kobe and Dwayne..MJ had Pippen and friends and Kobe has Gasol, not quite the same..btw, Phil you're no Red..

Kobe is still darn good without Shaq but does anybody else think he's become the Barry Bonds of basketball?
