Big Baby should start game 6. I'm serious. He's a charasmatic guy who has star potential ( if he trims about 20-30 pounds off that frame, gets a little more lift and speed...) I think he can become a very good player.

But my main point is that he's a guy that likes the spotlight, he's a gamer.

Also, he played Ilglauskas very, very well and he also played Duncan very well defensively. The reason is that he is so strong that he can get up and under these taller, lankier guys and they can not get anywhere near the basket. He's also way quicker than them so they cannot go around him either...

As far as body types go...Ilglauskas=Duncan=Gasol...they're all more finesse kind of guys, they're not bruisers.

Start Big Baby on Gasol and let him kick the crap out of him. This is a nightmare match up for Gasol. He DOES NOT WATN to wrestle with this guy, at all. That's also why he disappears when Kendrick plays him, because he's soft.  If Baby keeps him away from the basket, he's not going to be able to rebound over his back anyway. Also with Baby up on him he's not as good as either Duncan or Zadrunas getting his shot off.

If the Refs let the players play, this might completely throw off their offense.

When the Celtics are on offense, the Lakers don't really have answer for Big baby either.

Just put him in and tell him to try and wreak havoc.

If it doens't work, yank him...but I think it just might work.

I wouldn't start him...but he should get some run.

Maybe he'll pick his teeth with one of Pau's legs.

Make Pau pay!!!

15mpg - absolutely.  Start?  that may be a stretch.

I could see him picking up quick fouls in the first few minutes due to him being the one rookie on the floor and the officials strying to set the tone for the night.

I would really like to see him out there though.  He would frustrate their front line with his size, strength and fresh legs.

Yeah, I agree re the Refs and fouls...I think if they let him play he could really be effective against Pau. I'd probably start him with a really short leash. If they call him tight, I'd yank him aafter two quick fouls and then bring him back again.

I just think this kid is a gamer. He played big in some very big games for us this year.

I think the best postiive he would bring is that by keeping Pau out of the lane, this would allow KG and Pierce/Posey/PJ to clean up the glass. Pau is the one hurting us without Perkins in there.

While baby might be able to bang Gasol around he doesnt have the length to guard Gasol in the post and i think Gasol could easily shoot over him. Gasol is also alot quicker than Baby.

The thing I like best about Davis is he's full of surprises -- he's very savvy. He's also something of an X factor -- the Lakers haven't seen much of him this year. He has a lot of energy and plenty of tricks up his sleeve. I'm looking forward to watching the Lakers try to size him up -- he may not have the length, but he has a knack of being in the right place at the right time.

Baby is surprisingly quick. While Gasol may be able to shoot over him, I don't think Gasol would be able to rebound over him like Gasol was doing to us last night. Baby takes up too much space which helps his lack of height. I'd like to see Baby get some run, see how he does. If he picks up some quick fouls then you just pull him. Worth a shot. I don't think he going to hurt us.

Vide Rondo and Powe. Farmar killed them in game 5. This finals are not for most rookies and sophomores. They are effective during 20 minutes of a random game, than they can't do anything for 4 games. The refs will call everything on them - if it was BBD guarding Gasol the same way PJ was doing it last night, he'd have fouled out in 5 minutes. Give him a try if we need a fresh inside player, but take him out as soon as becomes clear he can't produce.
