I also hope that this series has disspelled the urban legend that is Kobe Bryant's defense. From what I have seen this postseason Kobe doesn't belong anywhere near the third team All-Defensive team never mind a first teamer.

Pierce has shown more defensive stuff not only in this series while being hobbled, but through the entire postseason and regular season than Kobe could even think about. His work last night coupled with his work on LeBron should start to earn him some big time honors next year regarding the All-Defensive team.

I'm drawing a blank in regards to who this other person is?  Radmonavic or Hair Barrette were the most responsible for bringing back the Fakers in game 2. If it's who I think you're talking about he doesn't have 'it'. Not 'it' in the way that I think of 'it' anyway.  He has more talent but, that's not 'it'.

Speaking of ripping out hearts... We did exactly that last night. I'll keep my money on the Celtics.
Don't dismiss the guy man.  I hate him as much as everyone else, but he's ripped the hearts out of franchises in the past.  He has done "it" several times throughout his career and probably has more "it" than anyone in the league right now.   Don't sleep on him...  We still have 1 more game to win.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on whether we think he has 'it'.  'It' is much more than scoring points when you have a giant averaging 30 and 15 in the lane.  No your 'it' and my 'it' are not created equally.

I wouldn't trade Pierce for him just so we are clear where I stand.

Ripped the heart out of franchises?

TP4U. If you save me time you get a TP.

I was about to question that same exact line. Take your avatar and have Baby scratching the top of his dome and that's about what I looked like when I read that statement.

You're completely wrong. Kobe hasn't got a bit of "It". He has unbelievable talent, almost the same as Jordan's. But what separates the two by a wide, wide margin is that MJ had "It" and Kobe is sorely lacking "It". There's a reason why the other night was Kobe's highest scoring Finals game even though he's now been in 5 Finals. Because he doesn't have "It".

And to say that he has more than the entire Celtics squad is a farce. Ray Allen has more "It" all by himself and Allen doesn't have nearly as much of it as Pierce.

Kobe has talent. He rode the wave that was Shaq. But there is a reason why Shaq has won a ring without Kobe and the reverse has not happened.

Oh fellas... lets not undersell Kobe and then watch him rip us apart and force a game 7, ok?  Yes he has "it".   Off the top of my head... Game 1 against the Spurs where he lead his team back from 20 down by scoring 25 points in the 2nd half... Game 5 when he helped them rally back from down 17...

2000 Game 7 against the Blazers when they stormed back down 15 in the 4th with the biggest forth-quarter rally ever...in 2002 rallying back from a 20-point third-quarter deficit against the Kings.  Game 1 of the 2004 Detroit series, they rallied back from down 6 with 40 seconds left... Bryant hit the game winning 3 pointer (of course they went on to lose the series, but...)

Kobe's had some heroics and some game winners.  People have been waiting to see them in this series.  Hasn't happened yet, but the series isn't over.  Don't say stuff you could end up regretting.

One, I'll say what I want.

Two, I don't care how this series ends, I stick by my comment.

Three, I'll give you Kobe and I'll take Pierce and the odds of closing out this series since it has never been done in Finals history. And I don't regret saying that. There isn't a chance in hell of the Lakers taking 2 in Boston.

yes, I agree... Pierce is awesome.  But don't dismiss a guy who has gone off for 81 points in a game.  I felt lucky that Kobe didn't have a shot opportunity at the end of Game 2

I'm not going to regret a thing I say about him. Interestingly enough there is only game without Shaq on your list and that was against a hobbled Spurs team which to me wasn't very impressive.  The C's already beat the 2nd best team in the league so I wasn't very concerned about the Fakers to begin with.  And I don't believe in childish jinxes so yes Boston won the series last night.

Ugh not the 81 points against Toronto argument.  You win.
