You guys falsly accuse TA of being the turnover king while you watch the other Celts do it just as much......I am not saying he is the point guard, he is a swing man, in this case it is about DEFENSE...remember that....! Ray Allen, well, first it is a waste for him to guard Kobe, too much work for our scoring production unit!!! Second....he might not be able to get up as high as he needs to...on a dime..! In for a rotation on Kobe, 5 minutes here and there, make kobe work.......and stop this micro-analysis of TA's game, he played darn good all year, and he should be in there becasue he can help us out, and for that reason only so don't misquote me. No noe plays for what they did, only what they can DO!!!

Well...

1) TA is the turnover king.  He averaged more turnovers per minute than any player on the team.

2) The team hasn't been effective with Tony in there in limited playoff time.  He has a negative +/- rating, meaning the team has been outscored with him in the game.

3) His defense has been terrible thus far in the post-season.  That's probably not all his fault, since he's extraordinarily rusty, but he has the larger PER differential on the team, and has an Opponent's PER of 26.0.  This isn't indicative of Tony's true ability, but again, he's too rusty to contribute much at this point.

I hear what you're saying, but I think at this point, it's too late.

I more or less liked the way they played D against Kobe. He really had to work for his points and he did nothing to get his teammates involved in the game. But still, I don't see how you can't go with the trap again on those last possessions. I'd much rather have the Machine be forced to make a 3 than let Kobe beat us.

Kobe did not take a whole heck of a lot of uncontested shots (the "open all day three" aside).  The guy is one of the best ever at elevating and hanging for  jumper with a hand in his face.  He hits some incredibly tough shots.

Vujacic was the guy that killed the Celts lsat night.  Kobe just did his thing.
Yup

On laker fast breaks Rondo has to do a better job guarding Kobe. Rondo is a bit lackadaisical on defense, and Kobe knows it so he exploits it. The Lakers aren't that good, the celtics must take advantage of every opportunity before the lakers start gaining confidence.

The more i see Kobe spewing hatred towards his teammates and going into no-pass "kobe show" mode, the more I like the C's chances. The Lakers are reduced to Kobe and a bunch of guys that watch him. He's going to have to put up 40+ in every game for the rest of the series. I don't see it happening.

The C's will make their adjustments. I like the C's chances in game 4.
