Looks like Cousy is seeing the same thing some of us are seeing.

I hope Rondo gets the message.  It will make our offense run sooooo much smoother.

Quote
BOSTON— One Celtics point guard to another, Bob Cousy has some advice for Rajon Rondo: Shoot the ball. Please.

Teams have been leaving Rondo open in the playoffs, but the Cooz thinks he’s not making them pay often enough.

Cousy thought Rondo wasn’t quite so hesitant to shoot during the regular season.

What he’s been seeing in the postseason, well…

“I liked him a lot more before the playoffs began,” Cousy said. “I still like him. He’s got to take the open shot. He’s kind of an enigma in that he’ll turn down these open shots that, as a point guard, you have to take. If you don’t take them, they fall off so far, it affects your passing game.”

No surprise ... the Cous has been saying this all year, along with most of us. Rage will never be a complete dominating point guard until he gets a consistent jump-shot going ... and he's getting there.

He seems to hesitate to shoot it although he has wide open looks. He made them during the regular season, and was quite good at it, but he stopped during the Atlanta series.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

It's been pretty evident to me that he has it. The problem is getting him to take them with out hesitation.

Unless your the purest of pure shooters the worst thing you can do is hesitate before a shot.

I don't care. The lad is getting into the lane and finding people when he passes up shots. It isn't hurting the team.

His lack of shooting is also the reason why LA turned it's good defense upside down into a trapping overzealous frenzy of help defense which incidently they can't do. Suddenly LA's very good defense is Nuggets-like and the Nuggets when they're having one of their bad days. His bad shooting is actually hurting LA and in a massive way because of Phil's strategy which isn't working. Not in a small way, a gigantic way. If LA went back to their normal D they'd be a much tougher opponent. They're not good enough to have two players cheating defensively against a team that can pass the ball.

His passing has been better in the playoffs than it was during the season when he wasn't passing up his shots. I'd like to see him shoot more, but he's playing awfully well for his level of experience.

shoot the ball and please get it in. Man he needs to learn how to shoot in a game. It does nothing for us if he can get 6 in a row at the game of horse.

Why does he fade away when he shoots?!?! he has the jordan syndrome and he needs to wake up and shoot the ball technically sound.

Jump forward or straight up, not leaning backwards CRAP!

His shot is also absolutely flat. Less arm and more wrist.

Given that it has been excised...

Do it, Rondo.
