Leaving in a wheelchair and then playing in the same half?  ::)

Sorry, that really is about as effeminate as it gets.  He is a great player, but that was gay. And then we hear today "If the game was today, Paul Pierce couldn't play"

Yeah, right.
So if Princes Kobe got hurt and you had no idea how bad it could be you would want him to walk into the locker room and possibly make it worse so he could be a "man?"

Because Phil Jackson just can't help himself.  No devious mind games or strategy here.  He's just a jerk, plain and simple.

Funny, this from a team and fanbase who portrayed Kobe as such a heroic and tough guy because he chose to play through a 'pinkie' injury.  Give me a break.  They played it up as something so serious and required immediate surgery he had to sit out the All-star game.

We sure have seen how Kobe's pinkie been affecting his shooting all the way to the Finals, huh?  Posey should have a tug at that pinkie of his and check if it's really hurt.  Let's see how Phil responds to that.

  • Let them hate, as long as they fear
I thought gay meant PP was acting happy, content.
And someday in the midst of time,
When they ask you if you knew me
Remember that you were a friend of mine

Funny thing is if Kobe did what PP did last night, NOBODY would be questioning if he was faking it would instantly go down as a EPIC comeback by Kobe..

i know paul was hurt, but i'm not buying in the drama of it all.

those jumpers kobe had? he can actually make them. in fact, he usually makes them. it was bad shooting night. we shouldn't get too cocky.

i know i may sound like a laker fan, but trust me, i'm not. all i'm saying is that we should not count the chicks until they hatch.

that laker fanboy who called pierce gay? no, that's uncalled for. we shouldn't go down to their level. he's obviously upset that his team lost.

we should stop these trash talk. we aren't unbeatable. i'm sure all of us know that the lakers, no matter how much we degrade them, can certainly beat us. they have the means to beat us. they can certainly win four straight if we aren't careful.

i love the celtics, and i want us to win. we have the means to beat them. they aren't unbeatable. no one's at an advantage. let's just do what we have to do. no trash talk, no anything.

trust our team. they can do it. we all know they can.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
since dr. phil had michael jordan and kobe (and shaq in his prime) handed to him on a platter, i'd say he's faked his whole coaching career...

Certainly you can disbelieve what you wish, Celtics fan or not, however:

1. Paul feeling a "pop", associated area pain from the knee twist and accute site specific ACL sharp pain, I would imagine any athelete would be going thru anguish in ones own mind as to the implications that such an injury would have on his life long dream. Lying there, no doubt best medical advice would be not to further injure himself by placing weight on it before further evaluations.

After standing and applying pressure, a reasonable experienced opinion could then be made, adrenalin pumped he no doubt made the headstrong decision to reenter the game and no doubt took an injection of cortazone which would be redily avaliable and widely prescribed by sports physicians.

2. Kobe for what ever reason is just as likely not to hit those shots you say he routinely makes,; He has shot roughly the same percentage against us this year long, 35%

Further, in the Lakes 2004 playoffs loss against Detroit if you remember, he also shot in the 30 percentile effecientcy...

3.  Celtics fans are rightfully optimistic. First by the players efforts all season long which secured home court advantage, on which one win has now been logged in the books.

4. Three wins to go to secure a World Championship with three games left to be played at home where these players recently BEAT LA is a Huge advantage going into the next game for the players and their fans!

5. The pressure is all on Kobe now to score 40+ points by taking it inside if he can for the kick out or the three point play being fouled. I don't see him being able to consistantly break down his match ups, which is frustrating him (while consuming energy also spent on D, running into picks & traffic) into being a jumpshooter as the clock ticks down. IMO

6. We are simply a more balanced team in terms of offensive production and a hella mucho better on DEFENCE, both head up and within the team concept. Interestingly the lakers scoring mirrored our average against statistic of 88 too, quite average.

7. We own the boards! We take away the paint!

I'm confident. So far as fans reactions on this site, we have been baited into being reactionary both by the MSM and Laker trolls who must consume that crap. Disrespect to our team season long by the MSM and each playoff teams trolls on our boards is rightfully met with confidence due to the facts.

1 down and three yet to go for the Title #17 Banner!

-Go Celtics-

Yeah, I heard Phil talking about the fake injury and conspiracy theories and nonsense stuff.

But Doc had a great comeback line when he said; "Lee Harvey Oswald did it"

Doc genious is dealing with the press.  Perhaps this is the perfect coach for this particular situation.  Especially when you have to face up against Phil's quick whip.

...go get him Doc.
