The lakers have one of the best benches in the nba??

a bench that consist of luke walton, famar, vuvacic, trevor ariza, turiaf is considered deep in the nba?? you got to be kidding me. Jordan Farmar?? haha omg

Our bench in my eyes is far more capable and experienced than those rookies. Guys like posey is worth three of those rookies combined in importance to a team.

I don't understand how experts come up with these kind of analyzis

They have a bench that comes in and provides energy and shooting. 

Not to much in the way of defense and rebounding.

You do have a good bench but where is the championship pedigree?
Nobody on the Celts have tasted this type of playoffs.

On the Celtics bench is Cassell (two rings with Houston) and Posey (1 ring with Miami)

The Lakers' bench, collectively, averages 106.4 points per 100 possessions, according to 82games.com.  That's good for seventh in the NBA.  They also rank in the top-10 in terms of bench assists, steals, blocks, and raw scoring, and they're second in the NBA in +/- (how much they've outscored other teams by).  Statistically, they're outproducing Boston's bench in just about every area other than rebounds.

They're a pretty good unit, even if they don't have a lot of big names.

I don't mean first year rookies per say but i seriosuly mean what experience do they have. I mean its just funny how experts consider these guys as the best bench in the nba

It's all about coaching.  They play well collectively and usually don't give up leads to other 2nd units.

regardless of who's bench is better... the disparity is not that wide and the experts are all totally wrong. The celtics have a better starting 5, and if ray allen is able to knock down a few early threes and force the lakers to focus on him, not to mention the most important factor which will be Perkins handling Gasol, then C's win it in 6 (and I only say 6 instead of 5 because of Kobe). The Lakers are NOT as good as everyone says, and as far as I'm concerned, their road to the finals was easier than ours. 7 games with ATL is sad, but Utah underperformed and the Spurs did not even belong in the conference finals, as NO is and was a far better team.

The Lakers bench is regarded so highly by the idiots at ESPN.com because they are exciting. They hit threes and play good offense. The media loves that, and so do all the casual fans.

If the C's take the first two games at home, then the series is over.

nuggets were better than the hawks this year, but the hawks are up and coming and will have 40-50 wins next year. plus denver plays no D.

Jazz are a wee bit better than the Cavs, but the underperformed. boozer was crap, Williams was hit and miss, and AK47 did his usual playoff disappearance. Cavs had Lebron, too. The Cavs D was absolutely fantastic... much better than the Jazz.

Spurs = Pistons... both aging teams who are past their prime years as contenders. NO should have beaten the Spurs, but Tim Duncan and his crew went all out and used up all of their energy to win that series. They were dead for the Lakers series.

Our road was tougher.

The Pistons were the 2nd best team in the league after the Celtics ALL YEAR, so not sure why you think the Spurs were better.  The Celtics just beat the 2nd best team in the league (Pistons).  I always thought the 2 best teams in the league were in the East.

I actually think the Lakers have a pretty decent second unit.  When you take into account the amount of teams in the NBA these days, if you can roll out 8 or 9 solid contributors, I'd say you're one of the better benches in the league.  I think the Lakers qualify in that aspect.
