I'm confident that the C's can win on the road ... when both teams play their best, the Celts are a much better team ... period. However, I can't presume to say I'm not concerned, Detroit has been here many times before, and we haven't. Experience in the playoffs is huge, and the Pistons have all the confidence in the world, where we have just question marks. Under-estimating that would be a major mistake.
Like I've said many times, this Detroit team is not as good as many feel they are, but their experience alone is a very large weapon to have this time of year. The Celtics really haven't played a "great" game since the first round, and they're due, but as they spend their court-time learning and adjusting to this new team they're all on, teams like Detroit can just concentrate on perfecting the game they've solidified long ago.
I think the C's have a few surprises left for all of us, and can still win the championship despite all the powers against them. They are plain-and-simple the best team in the NBA when they play their best, but the problem is they haven't figured out just how to do that on a consistent basis ... yet. That time will come, no doubt, but for now they've got to play every game like it's their last, and not give in to over-confidence or a lack of concern .... that's what Detroit does best, so let's leave that up to them.
