On TNT they said Doc was running a little late b/c Hondo came and visited him pregame and they kinda got caught up talking (Doc idolized him growing up apparantly) maybe we can blame #17 for distracting the coach? (all in jest of course)

I generally sit at soccer matches and rarely clap etc because i'm really watching the game as a former player not a fan
or maybe its as dave cowens said the c's team of jojo, hondo, cowens etc would KILL the current team  ;D
agreed dumb topic
wait sitting watching the game not showing any emotion...isn't that how isiah has made $$$ as a coach

I think it's really funny the split between people who took this thread in jest and people who are mortified by it.

One word:  Giselle

seconded, tom brady need not bring his distraction to our games.

I had the same face as Havlicek when they showed him on ESPN.

He looked to be deeply concerned with what was going on last night and so was I.

It wasn't so much this face.... >:(

But moreso this one.... :-\ or this one  ???

  • You know my methods, Watson.
look up "stoic" in the dictionary...

we had a HOF center that wore the same expression a few years ago.

I know it's known by all, and a good deal of humor has been spread around this thread (my own attempt at humor part amongst the silliness), but can we all just give Hondo the benefit of the doubt for choosing to root for the Celtics however he [dang] well pleases. You know the man bleeds green.  In a long list of classy super stars this team has trotted out in its storied history, Havlicek stands on top in my book - and he's up against some serious class.

...orrrrrrrrrrrr maybe he was on drugs

either way ;)
Yup

Yeah most of the 'celebrities' if you will, don't really show a whole lot of emotion on the sidelines.  They can do whatever they want, especially Hondo!  I know Randy Moss and Laurence Maroney didn't get too excited the times that I have seen them there.  Let them do what they want!
Who said the East was the JV conference? See you next year, Mr. Bryant!

Anybody else get a laugh when Van Gundy said it wasn't fair that Hondo at 68 had the great head of hair, when JVG is in his 40's and doesn't. I wanted to yell, JVG, Hondo has that hair because he's a former Celtic Great. If your a former Celtics Great good things happen to you.  :)

Or Tommy having  a sit down one on one heart to heart interview with Scals.

anyone else see him sitting there staring straight ahead doing nothing? would it kill a guy to clap his hands? not really a big deal, it just irked me at the beginning of the game.

i put this loss squarely on the shoulders of the all time celtics point leader not cheering on the team.

or something.

Cedric Maxwell stole my lunch money.

Why would Cedric need lunch money?  I thought Violet Palmer was cooking lunch for him.

that was awesome... I think Tommy should fall asleep midsentence and then kinda wake up, yelling something about "that guy's a villain" then go right back into what he was talking about
