argument is becoming pretty 2 sided. The final question and the one that matters most is who actually helps the team win. Davis no doubt does.

What powe does best is put his head down and try to dunk everything(also it hurts your eyes when it doesn't work) or stand his ground/take charges on the defensive end. But he just doesn't have the iq like baby does to understand the nuances of the game.

As i repeat like a broken record i don't want to lose powe but davis the one better to keep if we had to choose. He can fill in as a starter and play backup unlike powe who is your prototypical carl landry like bench player.

You must not be watching games when Powe plays. He does much more than what you describe. His rebounding alone makes him very valuable.

For the umpteenth time, they are both good players and they both hustle.  They just have completely different games.  Powe scores down low, BBD does a little of everything.

Actually I like them in the game together.

Tommy Point!  This is really all that matters.  They both are very effective players that are important to the team.

This has probably been mentioned before but the only thing that worries me about BBD is that he will level off or regress after his second NBA contract.  We've seen plenty of examples of this happening with players.  With Powe I'm not as concerned about this as I think he will always have a very strong work ethic.  The only thing that I would be slightly concerned about is the holdup of his knees long term.  With that said I would like to see them both back at maybe 3 mil a year or so for a 3 year type of deal.   If both disappoint a little in their next contract those type of deals won't kill the Celtics.

I knew Powe was capable of having some 20 and 10 games this year but never thought I would see that from BBD especially against an excellent front line in Atlanta.   If Powe comes back healthy  for the playoffs I don't think we will see much of Moore in the playoffs which I would be perfectly fine with.

If only we could get good games out of both of them when they played together at the consistancy we get when only one is available to play.

Heard this on ESPN tonight so props to the announcer who said it.

Big Baby had his first triple double tonight:

19 points,
10 rebounds,
10 stitches.

The line was stolen from Mike Gorman.

Then TP's go out to Mike for a fantastic line and shame on ESPN for using it without giving credit where credit is due. Great line, though.

I agree with this as well, they are both good together.

It's like the KG/Perk combo.

Davis and Powe compliment each other.

There's something very comfortable in thinking that if the Celtics resign both of these guys to 4-5 year contracts and then give Rondo that big extension you just know he's going to get sooner or later, that the Celtics core will be this:

Rondo - PG - age 23
Perkins - C age 24
Davis - PF/C - age 23
Powe - PF - age 25
Walker - SF - age 21
Pierce - SF - age 31
Garnett - PF/C - age 32
Allen - SG - age 33

To think that the top 5 guys could all have the experience of owning 1-2 championship rings before even reaching their NBA performing and natural physical peaks and that the bottom three guys are all Hall of Famers that have physical conditioning that far exceeds the normal NBA player at their age makes me a very happy Boston Celtics fan and I'm sure it makes some non-Celtics fans very, very sad.

The talk of Davis vs Powe should really stop at this point. We've heard so much "well, look what Leon did Baby will never do that" and vice versa and yet, when called upon, both players have been exemplary get double doubles and being the reason for big wins. They are both starting to look like grizzled vets and are really, really young. Good for them and good for us.

No more Baby vs Powe.....only Baby AND Powe from this point on!!

What do you say!!!

The Celtics are lucky to have both Leon & Baby. I have new respect for Baby now, especially after getting clocked last night. It was a stupendous, complicated move, and he never let go of the ball even when blood was pouring out of his head. This basketball, it is dangerous-- yes? What an exciting night, everyone was delighted with #11. And these same people were delighted with Pow!e after game 2 at the Garden in the finals last year. The Celtics shouldn't want to lose either, 'cause I sure don't.

Well someone did pass a note to Gorman that said that...he just read it

I love BBD's game.  So much more versatile than Powe and more scrappy imo.... Davis hustles his arse off every second he's on the floor.  Davis gives you more than points and rebounds, he hustles enough to get steals, deflections, dives for loose balls and is generally in the right place on rotations most of the time.

He's our new Posey.  Not that he plays the same position, but that even though he doesn't put up sexy stats, he does the little things to help you win.  I think Davis is the kind of guy that championship teams will want to have on their bench, again, much like Posey.

I like both Powe and Davis, but those are some of the reasons I like Davis more.  When Powe isn't having a good game, he's pretty useless, when Baby isn't having a good game, he can contribute in a lot of different ways with his all around hustle....a perfect fit for a team like the Celtics.

this paragraph sums it up.

If they are affordable this summer, than I am all for keeping both. But if we can get close to a legit center on the bench, than I am OK with letting the more expensive of Powe/Davis walk.

They've both taken some big strides in the absence of others as the season has gone on. Each being something different and valuable to the table.

Sign Powe. We can get him cheaper than Baby now that Powe is hurt.

Baby is going to prove to be too attractive for other teams.
