it is unbelievable the polish and poise he has for someone 23 yrs old

LeBron gave credit cause even with the referee benefit, he lost..... I mean, didn't you see that travel he had that the refs wouldn't call which they said he bobbled the ball yet he was the only one who touched it.....

Then the steal he had by grabbing Pierce's jersey ( which was blatant ).....

Man, the way I see it, he's a slightly above average player if he doesn't get the benefits from the refs....

i really like lebron as a player, and off the floor he is a real class act. nice kid, good for the NBA.

What i loath, and its part of the game to my dismay, and thus shouldn't all be laid on lebron, but lebron brings it to the fore front, is his constant over selling of fouls. i mean, everyone sells fouls, lebron takes it to another level.

I mean, thank god he recovered from that catastrophic shoulder injury he got today to come back strong....

I agree, Lebron was a class act after the game. He gave Paul some props with comparing him with Kobe.
What's the deal with Ray? Is he hurt?
I would like to propose a trade.

Polish and poise?  Is that what you call it?  I call it bona fide BS.

As Denzel once said, "You can't BS a BSer!" (anyone know what movie that's from?)

Honestly, this guy has done nothing except having had money and hype thrown his way.  He is so condescending when he actually lets his emotion go in interviews and doesn't follow the scripted media coaching he constantly gets (please don't pretend like he doesn't - Stern already gaffed once with Kobe and can't let his new Golden Boy be ruined).

LeBaby and everything associated with him truly angers me.

Yes, LBJ certainly receives his share of benefits from the zebras, and personally I'm in the middle on how I feel about LBJ's demeanor overall (thus enjoying reading the different perspectives on this thread), but c'mon, that last sentence just isn't fair at all.

We're talking about one of three guys in the history of the game go 30-8-7 in a season.  Has already begun to build his playoff legend -- which he only added to today, by the way.  Quite possibly the best player at his age of all time.

Say what you will about the man's antics, but knocking his game in that manner just seems to resonate unjustly with me.

While I really hate LeBron's whining, and the "Golden Boy" treatment he gets from the refs, I was impressed with his post-game interview. He completely took the high-road, and should be commended for his mature, classy, and articulate concession interview ... nicely done, LeBron! Many should take your example to heart.

yea, a bad series and we should totally take back a worse player with much more wear and tear on him and a bench player... both of whom were terrible (in wally's case) or missed clutch shots (in dwest's case) when it mattered all series in exchange for a player whos been money all year until the last 2 weeks. I know it was said in jest, but the underapprecation of ray allen around this blog irks me at times.

Yes, he had a horrid series, but people act like "oh, he used to score 30 a night in SEA, he sucks now because he averaged 16+ in boston" when he is one of the most efficient 3rd options in the entire NBA. people really don't factor in that doc doesn't run any plays for ray in their assessment of him. there were 0 screens run today for ray. 0. it was pretty much "well stand there ray, i can;t be bothered to run anything for you."

the guy is going through a slump, it happens. he's (statistically) one of the 5 best shooters of all time, i think he'll be fine.

but i digress, great game from the team today, now they just need to not get caught in a letdown game tuesday.

I agree that Lebron is a class act.

I think unfortunately for him, the coddling by the officials and the lack of a supporting cast are causing him to develop some bad habits that could make him a less enjoyable player to watch as his career progresses.

I'd rather see him using his terrific passing ability then watch his bull in a china shop routine.  Unfortunately his passes are to the likes of Ben Wallace and the refs reward his "head down" plays.  It's negative reinforcement.  It might make for a decent clip on ESPN, but it makes for a crummy game.

I hope he keeps working on the beautiful aspects of his game, because he's a truly unique talent.

i try and respect everyone's opinion on here, but that is the most ridiculous comment i have ever read on this site. that man is amazing. i will agree the refs take care of him, and he gets away with a lot. but c'mon. and to answer the OP, he is a class act. i watched his press confrence, and he is a class act, well beyond his years. when the german reported asked him about the olympics, i said to my wife, if i was him, i would have snapped. i just lost a game 7, and you are going to ask me about the olympics?!?!

but he answered with respect, and i think he is a great player, and seems like a super nice kid. i wish him all the best when he is not playing the c's.

LeBron James a average player, what?  :o did we just watch the same game? LeBron and Pierce just put on two of the best performances ever in the playoffs. Give credit where credit is due. LeBron will go down as one of the greatest with or without help from the refs, the dude is a freak of nature.

C'mon SteveW - despite the fact the rules have been drastically changed over the past few years to accommodate the ugly brand of basketball Darth Stern finds most marketable (a la the way LeBaby plays), even if the rules were called by the book today, LeBron would not be nearly as good as he is, statistically.  He is an incredibly overrated player.

Yes, " a unique talent ".  Why I wish more players could take 3 steps and run people over (whilst drawing fouls) as consistently as James - basketball would be so much more enjoyable to watch that way.
God bless and good night!
