First, the David Stern accusations of 'fixing' are absurd.  In addition to being unethical (which I have no evidence to accuse him of) it would be collosally stupid (which I am pretty certain he is not).  What you are talking about would have to be a true conspiracy.  For Stern to have 'conspired' with the referees, it would require multiple accomplices meaning that even one small slip from anyone 'in the know' indicating a Stern covert directive would take down the league and cost Stern his job and his reputation.  It would be utterly stupid for Stern to influence the refs, and I think it is utter nonsense to suggest it.

In addition, if you are paying attention to the playoffs, the one consistent element has been poor officiating favoring the home teams.  It is not a conspiracy against the Celtics, who by the way would likely be the BEST draw from the East.

Thank you! TP.  The referees have been strongly influenced by home crowds, and are almost always strongly influenced by superstar players, usually because A. the stars are physically dominant specimens, they tend to draw more contact and there's almost an implicit assumption that if they can't get their way a foul must've been committed, and B. it's understood that the stars get questionable or ambiguous calls.

There is no conspiracy, and to think so is pretty silly when you consider the actual logistics of it, and the consequences if anyone found out.  It's just sad that the refereeing is so consistently unfair that a conspiracy starts to sound like a logical explanation to more and more people.

Cavs 101
Celtics 99

Pierce misses a three for the win. The LeBron's get a bunch of phantom calls

Okay seriously guys how can you be a part of Celticsblog and pick against the Celtics?  I know Lebron is going to be bringing his A game and I know that the refs are going to continue to suck just like they hve throughout the playoffs, but we are at home!  No team has beat us there, why should that all of a sudden change, unless there is a fix in for the Cavs to win.  That's the only way I see Cleveland winning, if a fix on the game is in.  Other than that I think they are going to win by about 15 over Cleveland.  House will be playing hopefully, Pierce will hit more shots because he's at home and if we can get Ray going its lights out.  Oh yea and I'm expecting KG to have at least a 30 point game.  I don't think he is going to let this team loose.

They will win, but I think people have had the wind taken out of them becasue of last night "game". I just hope these back to back 7 game series don't take a toll in them.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

There could be subliminal messages in the game review tapes the officials have to watch.

Celtics are definatly going to be back to the way they usually play at home.
KG will pound it inside and murder varajao
PP will slash through and get some easy buckets, and nail some wide open treys
RA will find his shooting touch again and finally rejoin this team
RR will embarrass delonte (even tho i love him) and set up the offense well
KP will be a beast down low and grab every board(except for the ones KG gets)
Eddie will get the call again cuz he proved he should have been playing the whole time
Big Baby will give us a boost of the bench
Leon will come back like Ray will

it would be great if all those things happen tomorrow, obviously all of them wont, but i think we need at least three of them to happen to win.

If we blow out Cleveland by halftime,
there won't be enough time for the refs
to be a factor in Game 7 ::)

Like Neurotic Guy, I really do not buy
into the Stern/Refs Conspiracy Theory.

Stern may be a lot of things but stupid
is not one of them!

My prediction for Game 7 is that the Garden
will rock, the Cavs will shake in their pants
and we will all be quite content tomorrow.
If not, I'll hide in a hole for a couple of
weeks, until all those angry thoughts are gone...

KG goes bonkers, Rondo is back, we do not give up a hundred offensive rebounds to start the game, PP is solid and KP does not get 3 fouls in first quarter..sounds like a blowout win to me too.

Yoooouurrr Celtics, by 15

/With our Killer Kowowski look-alike overseeing the referees from the end of our bench, ready to drop the hammer otherwise ;)

I swear that officiating crew the other night, if done in the Garden, wouldn't make it out of the joint ;)

I would like the ability to take away Tommy Points from all those that picked the Cavs.

Celts by 12- they will have a bigger lead than that for a large part of the game but the Cavs and horrible calls will make it closer than it should be.
