This morning Tim Legler of ESPN, said that the Celtics are struggling to find an identity, offensively, because the Cavs have made it very hard for Garnett to post up. All season long, we used the Garnett low post to start the offense, where he could score easily or, if double teamed, make the right pass to the open team-mate, often for an easy two. I agree with this. I would hope that the Celtics would make a greater effort to re-establish Garnett in the low block.  Varajao and Wallace have both done a very good job thus far in preventing it.

Actually I can't remember KG hitting a shot from around the top of the key in this series.  He took, and made,  a ton of shots from there in the regular season.  I know it's vital to establish the low post game, but they don't seem to be getting him the ball there that much anyhow.  Why not let him pop out up top some more like he's used to?  A few shots from out there and a couple of screens might open up the post somewhat.
Yup

I couldn't disagree more with Legler.  We have been trying to feed KG in the low-post and all we get is contested fade-aways and/or stagnant offense possesions. KG can't hold his position and even when he does, he tends to spin for a fade away.  That play vs Verejao comes to mind...

IMHO, KG is at his best when he plays in the high-post look for cutters or drains that sweet 18ftr when someone cheats off him.

If we play to our strength, we should be alright:
-KG in the high-post
-RA comming off picks
-PP comming off picks(when LeBron guards him) & post up or drive when anyone else does.

also pierce has taken minimal pull up jumpers from 15-20 feet. He is really good at those, and when those start to drop it opens up more of a lane for him to drive.

Also, Rondo need sto keep taking his jumper with confidence. When he comes off those picks and the guys are way off of him near the free throw line he should be pulling up. The commentators were saying that he was shooting too much and not getting enough assists, but they were leaving him wide open, so he has got to take those shots.

The problem with the KG post up is they don't get the pass in there quick enough and they don't do enough to help him set good position.

Let Perkin set screens on the weakside and allow KG to run off them to set up on the strong side.

Man with ball must be ready to pass as soon as KG clears the screen.

They need to give KG cutters to pass to out of the post. Pierce or Rondo down the middle and Ray for a mid range J. They are watching KG in the post and its making him look bad. Guy need to get open so KG can feed them.
