Game Over!!

Night-night everybody. I can't watch anymore of this garbage.

And for those that will be blaming Doc for this debacle, you're fools.

1 or 2 no shows on the road, maybe the coach didn't prepare the guys.

3 no shows on the road, maybe bad use of the bench and rotations, maybe.

4 no shows in a road in the playoffs has nothing to do whatsoever with the coaching.

That's on the players. In retrospect, every loss in the playoffs has to be put on the players. 4 in a row just cannot be explained by bad coaching. No way. No how. Something is seriously lacking in the heart of this team!

Oh, so it's OK to let the other team go on 14-point runs? It's ok to not go to Garnett with Joe Smith on him? Is it also OK to play Perkins over Powe or Baby, who atleast FINSIH at the basket?

sam cassel and pj brown should never enter the game . . period . . . yes im blaming doc . . .everyone knew doc would panic and abandon the lineup that produced 66 wins . . . disgusting . . . yes the team has been terrible tonight, but sam cassel's man gets by him every single possession leading to a total defensive breakdown, and pj brown is by far the worst player in the playoffs statistically - look it up . . big baby and eddie house did nothing but produce all year and this is how they are rewarded? ridiculous . . .
overall our intensity was so bad to start the game we dug to deep a hole, but 2 38 year old men should not enter the game they are both terribly washed up and provide no energy, give all their minutes to baby eddie or tony

Oh one last thing. If Tom Thibodeau gets the credit for the great defense then he should be taking some serious, serious heat for the complete lack of defense during these 4 road games.

It depends.

Who is in charge of getting the players up to play on the road?
First and foremost, the players.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
I hope Eddie House proves Doc wrong here.  It's ridiculous that one of our top eight players never sees the floor.

LeBron really should consider acting career after his playing days are over

Anyone else notice that Rondo has no assists and has taken the most shot attempts on the team.....

The Cavs are daring him to shoot while staying home on everyone else.... it doesn't seem as though we are going anywhere if Rondo can't hit the midrange jumper....

Can we get a single over the back call ?
See, this is why I'm not allowed to announce NBA games -- I'd be talking in the Cookie Monster voice right now:

Ahhhhhhhhhh ... my knee hurts ... ahhhhhhhhhhhhh ... me don't like when my knee hurts ...

That being said, he didn't put the team in the best position to succeed, either.  Playing Perk the entire 3rd quarter and sitting Powe and Posey, for instance, is one example of a poor decision by the coaching staff.
I don't think that was a mistake. The team was making a run, they had cut the lead down to 12 with three minutes to go. I don't want Doc pulling people out when they're in the midst of making a run. Doc did the right thing letting the quarter play out.

Coaches are always first on the line for blaming. When you put Perkins longer, people ask why no more of Powe. When Powe is playing 4th q, people are asking why Perkins is not playing in 4th!!

Doc isn't to blame for this one, because no matter what he did, we were going to lose.

That being said, he didn't put the team in the best position to succeed, either.  Playing Perk the entire 3rd quarter and sitting Powe and Posey, for instance, is one example of a poor decision by the coaching staff.

Again, though, this one was lost from the outset.  That falls on the players' shoulders.
That's all saying Roy.

Doc deserves some responsibility for all of these losses but it was the players who need to look in the mirror and realize that they bear the overwhelming amount of blame for what has happened on the road this postseason.

And after they haven't done it themselves for three games on the road?

That was a Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing over the back on Smith but of course he gets away with it. Rondo and Cassell had to combine to be the worst point guard combo in NBA history tonight and our effort from the start was awful. They gave effort in the ATL losses, no effort tonight.
