Because I had to take over CD5's train wreck of a team after he quit the league like a whiny little child not once, but twice.  CD5 couldn't have put his team in a worse position to be competitive if he tried, and there was no way a manager was going to take over that mess.  So, the league voted, and they gave me his team with two late-round compensation picks to partially make up for the abject disaster of a roster I was handed.

With this pick, I am selecting Sasha Pavlovic, and then trading him to jgod213 for his 12th (#14) and 14th (#14) rounders, per an 11th-hour agreement we reached late last night.

Yes, when CD5 abruptly left the league (for the second time), we had to scramble to find a replacement, or else put everything on hold.

Hobbs was present, and volunteered to take over CD5's team, with the understanding that he'd like a pick at the beginning of the 8th and 10th rounds to help improve a team that was not at all competitive (having sacrificed a couple high draft picks for Elton Brand).

We put it to a vote, and of those who weighed in on the subject (I believe at least a half-dozen), everyone was unanimous in accepting Hobbs' proposal.
