The guards need to do better (PP, White) but the frontcourt is still the biggest issue. Everyone is inconsistent and each guy has notable flaws. Robinson also looks out of shape and like a lumbering bear out there sometimes. Queta sometimes plays like an idiot with the ball/handling passes and still has issues with foul trouble.

Sengun looked dominant yesterday. Embiid dominated us most of the playoffs last year when he came back. We're gonna have a really hard time against these sorts of teams with elite big men. Even Duren for the Pistons had 22/10 against us IIRC in the opener. At least Horford and to an extent Timelord/Kornet/KP (when healthy) could provide resistance

yeah i have been missing Al and kristaps.....but heck i'd take timelord or kornet right now over what we have. our rim presence was NIL last night.

FIRE JOE NOW!

Payton "Jalen Brunson 2.0" Pritchard sure is living up to his billing, lol.

Robinson looks slow and out of shape.  Our big rotation was supposed to be a strength.  It's not, because this guy can't play.

Those are the biggest problems with this team so far this year.  Hugo's apparent lack of development over the offseason is a disappointment as well but at least we have other rotation-level wings to absorb that blow.  But we need Pritchard and Robinson to help us beat good teams and they aren't.

hugo shoulda been dealt with brown and picks for giannis. how dumb does brad feel now? supposedly hugo was the deal breaker? omg. smh

Him and/or Baylor. It?s asinine either way. This is what happens when GMs fall in love with their draft picks.
It sounds like Milwaukee wanted Baylor/Hugo and significantly more draft capital. The framing that I've seen of "Baylor or Hugo was the dealbreaker" is fairly disingenuous.

And I say that as someone who personally would have done Brown + Hugo + Baylor + 3 firsts.

Except for the part where Shams specifically mentions those two players.

Charania appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, where he claimed that the story regarding Cs ownership not being willing to offer a third year is a false report.

The Celtics did not want to give up Hugo Gonzalez and/or Baylor Scheierman and another draft asset when the Bucks asked for that, Charania said. For my reporting, that was the breakdown in that conversation.

Exactly. I think youre being quite disingenuous right now.

Further, if I ask for a dollar in exchange for 99 cents. Then you asks for another 2 cents. How silly would it be for us to sit around here and complain that I let 2 cents be a dealbreaker for a dollar.

The problem is that trade offer is not Baylor or Hugo or 2 cents. Its the sum total of what I'm being asked to give up.

How is it disingenuous? This is a direct quote from the top NBA insider.  ???

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
