While not one of the main teams in the middle, Boston made the outside, with ?Brad + Tatum? being the driving reasons why, Brad being GM Brad Stevens, and Tatum being Jayson Tatum.

ESPN segment on the white board Rich Paul showed about LeBron's options on the Max Kellerman show.

It shows 5 teams on the inside and 5 teams on the outside looking in. The 5 teams that LeBron is looking closest at is PHI, CLE, MIA, DEN, MIN. The 5 teams on the outside is GSW, DAL, BOS, NYK, SAS.

I don't who that ESPN presenter is but he is making a big deal about LeBron being a fan of Garland but Garland no longer being in CLE. He theorizes that LeBron does not want to play with Harden. Apparently Garland is on the same level as Maxey - both of whom LeBron would love to play. I see someone else talking about Maxey is a Klutch Sports client and has done many events with LeBron over the years. Perk adds that Garland is also a Klutch Sports client. 

NYK appears to be bottom of the list because they won the title. LeBron does not want them join them as a result.

Perk added that LeBron loves to have "dogs" around him. Perk doesn't think LeBron will rate the Cavs roster as a result. Too soft. Choked & folded in the playoffs. Multiple times. Perk believes LBJ wants CLE to make a move to change the dynamic of the team. Perk thinks if CLE had of traded D Mitchell for Jaylen, then CLE would be the frontrunner for LBJ.

The other ESPN guy agrees. He thinks CLE would have paid up (trade asset wise) for Jaylen in order to get LBJ because LBJ wants to play with Jaylen so badly. That BOS should have held out longer. They could have gotten more.

If he wants to avoid the ?ring chaser? label then Boston would make sense for him. He can still have a significant role and if he helps them make a deep playoff run and miraculously win the NBA finals, his GOAT argument will really take a huge bump. That being said, it?s really hard to imagine Celtics fans cheering for Lebron.

If Embiid isn't available, LeBron can play center for Philly and matchup effectively against any center in the East playoffs. Perk thinks Philly can win a title with LeBron & without Embiid.

Philly's replacement forwards are dodgy. I like the idea of LeBron at center. I imagine they would start with Hukporti and play Bona some but have LeBron play 40-50% of the game at center. Start at PF and play the rest of his minutes at center. I liked D Barlow when he played the Celtics. Good hustle play. Good athlete.

If you put A Simons in there as the 5th starter, you are loaded in offense. I'd rather have another wing player though. You are already small with LeBron. It would be good to stay bigger on the perimeter to help LeBron. But for shorter spells, yeah, I love that small ball lineup.

GSW are too old and injury prone
Cle he isn't going to carry Harden and Mitchell who are not good defenders
Minny doesn't have enough talent
Nyk just won, his agent said he would have gone there if they didn't
Philly would have too many cooks in the kitchen with JB wanting to be the man, and Embiid injury history

Miami, he duplicates what giannis does , they don't have any other guard or wings.

Boston he would come in and have a contending cast. If he is willing to be the 1b to Tatum, he could also play some center.

Yeah, I think Embiid's injury issues should rule out Philly. If I was LeBron, I wouldn't risk my last season or two on a guy like Embiid who can't stay healthy.

I think Denver makes the most sense.  A clear need for a 3rd playmaker. Championship proven but fallen off enough that he would still be recognized as a difference maker. A lot of athletic forwards to do the dirty work.

The Golden State Warriors have faded as one of the favorites to possibly sign LeBron James in free agency as their case appears to be dependent on a possible trade with the Washington Wizards for Anthony Davis. The Warriors haven't gained any traction with the Wizards and appear to be preferring to keep Jimmy Butler, who would need to be included in a deal for Davis.

While the thought of James teaming up with Stephen Curry has received widespread approval on the basketball side of the equation, they would not be considered legitimate title contenders based on the current state of the roster.

"The Warriors, going into free agency, dreamt up a grand plan of Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James," said Shams Charania on Friday. "But the big domino with them is trying to get a player like an Anthony Davis, so you can bring in LeBron James and Anthony Davis as a package deal. Short of that, they're not really looked at right now at the top of this list, but things can change.
