Bye to all. I hope you have fun watching the games and talking about them on this space. I can't take watching the flop fest and the refs controlling the games more and more. I've had enough. My wife's uncle gave up after that Wade vs Dallas series and I should've given up then too but I thought they might get there act together but it's gotten worse. It's a refs league now and I have zero interest in that. I probably switch to watching Euroleague which is much better officiated. It's been fun...

I don?t blame you. The league needs to figure out how to make the game more enjoyable to watch.

Too much 3 point shooting, flopping, foul baiting. Etc etc

What do you mean? The Lakers lost! SGA only took 3 FTs last night.

In all seriousness, the flopping is annoying, but the NBA playoffs are entertaining so I try to look past it.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

The Wade Finals in 2006 was disgusting.

Thank goodness San Antonio made the Finals in 2007 and restored some of my joy in the game.

I too, think the refs are often questionable.  It is a big problem for the league.

The NBA favors players...

They don't favor our guys, folks.

They call early fouls so people can't defend stars, reward floppers and treat people differently based on their star power and who the league has marketed.  None of this ever applies to us.

They?ve been doing it since MJ.  Nothing new.

And it continues to be a problem.

The C's winning it all 2024 is kind of what's keeping me from the wrist-slitting, but yeah some of the stuff that's happened the last few years is shady and no one can convince me otherwise.

Lakers being gifted Doncic, Mavs being gifted Flagg, Wemby and SGA being pushed as the faces of the league which in turns lead to someone like SGA in particular just being gifted every call, etc. Glad the C's won a few years ago because it'll be even harder with the talent in the league incoming but also just the overall media/radio/TV culture that exists which can complicate things. These players pay attention to what is said and I'm sure it's in their heads (ex. Jaylen)
