Not deluding myself into saying he's some budding star, but Harper Jr has also impressed me. Good motor, hustle, and can make plays on both ends. Has the height to also rebound and block some shots. He could be another nice bench piece going forward.
I like him a lot more than Shulga, He has shown some nice blocks in NBA games against Brunson.
Harper JR has shot 40% from the three in Maine and leads the G-league in scoring. Shooting is a skill and can be taught to some degree. Harper Jr. in only a 68% free Throw shooter and he shoots 50% in the field . Of course, his NBA number are much worse, 37% from the field, 29% from the three and 50% from the free throw.
Competition matters is what this shows me. He defends well and rebounds decently. I think his shot could improve with coaching. But he is 25 years old and is he worthy of investing resources at that age?
