Great win tonight. This had trap game written all over it after they played so well on the road, but they did enough to avoid that.  Simons is fun to watch.

Good win. Now sit solely in second only 3 losses back from the 1 seed. Amazing.

I feared a letdown as this really looked like a trap game. But the Cs surprise us yet again with a wire to wire win! TPs everyone!

I'm starting to wonder if Simons might be a keeper. He's definitely played a lot better the past month and seems to have adjusted better.

Obviously his current contract is too much but if he's willing to stay at a reasonable rate beyond this season do you extend and keep him even as like a 6th man scorer?

Idk. I still lean towards trading him at the deadline and getting a big man back in the deal (and saving some money) but it's becoming an intriguing scenario especially with the trade deadline about a month away

Since the start of the season, my feeling was that he'd eventually be traded so they could get bigger defensively with their guards, but given the importance of the 3 and his ability to take over games as he did tonight in the 2nd half, I'm thinking it might be better to keep him. When Tatum returns, this team will have 5 guys who can create their own shot. That's a nice luxury.  Plus the emergence of Hugo and Walsh makes it easier to have someone who's probabably a below average defender play lots of minutes.

When Simons gets it going, he's a fun guy to watch.

That all said, I don't see how Brad can pay him his market value - or why he'd want to stay vs getting paid.

If that's the case they'll need to probably get off of some (other) money at the deadline.

Boucher comes to mind. And maybe one of Minott or Scheirman? I like how Minott played when he was being used but it looks like Baylor is ahead of him in the pecking order now.

None of those guys save you any money by trading them, they all make the minimum or close to it and you need to replace their spot on the roster if you dump them.

It's incredible what this team has done so far this season.

It's one of the more enjoyable seasons in a long time so far.  And we've had some pretty enjoyable seasons! The Tatum reintegration process is going to very interesting.  There are so many different ways it could go (most of them good, I think).
