Given that the Dallas Mavericks look like pivoting to a rebuild, I was curious if the Celtics front office had the stomach for a Kyrie Irving reunion.
There should not be much of a market for Irving. If you factor in his age & injury history, a trade may only take Simons and Hauser (perhaps a few second round picks).
The Celtics would have to wait until mid December to trade for Irving due to his contract extension in the offseason. Because he is out for the season (recovering from ACL surgery), an Irving trade might actually help the Celtics this season in their quest for better draft lottery odds.
I am not a fan of Irving and his attitude, but in saying that he has matured over the past couple of years.
