We have to play Simons of course and he can score but I think we are going to have to let him expire. His scoring has not looked great and to me it is clear he is a net negative out there. I did not have high long term expectations for him anyways but now don?t see how a team would trade for him.
he won't be let to expire.  C's either trade him at the deadline for a better-fitting piece or C's resign him to be salary filler in an offseason/future trade.  his salary slot is valuable in a trade

That is what I thought earlier but I do not see a way it makes sense to resign him. And as an expiring there is some value there but I am starting to doubt what that value is.

Okay it's hard to tell players they need to box out when dudes are allowed to just rip down the board over their head though.  I'd like to see the over-the-back rule be reemphasized personally.  Positioning should matter.

That was an excellent second quarter after a rough first.  Credit where due.

JB isn't getting enough respect for how he's playing this season.

A 44-23 quarter. That's pretty good. Preeeeetttty good.

Celtics up 10 despite still only shooting 31.6% from three.

One adjustment: Maybe don't leave Sarr wide open from three. He's hitting those.

Jaylen is completely unstoppable. 60 points the last 6 quarters despite going 0-10 from three in that period.

Recency bias likely here but that felt like the best half of basketball from JB I can remember. Felt he was fairly strong on the boards too. Have been impressed with his efficiency this year so far.

Great plays by JB.  He's showed some of his old explosiveness on some of his drives to the basket.

He was well on his way to winning the game against Utah practically by himself before that inexcusable no-call on the trip.  More of the same today.

We're winning despite 30% shooting from 3

He is a terrific basketball player.  Pierce like power.  Seems to be using his strength more this year - powering to the hoop and usually finishing.

Tommy would have loved Minott.  I can hear him.
