The only way that OKC can do this trade is if they get under the 2nd apron, and maybe under the first.  They would have to renounce the club options on Hartenstein, Dort and K. Williams, plus trade something like Holmgren, Jaylin Williams, Wallace, and McCain, in order to match salaries.  That is a lot go give up.

I don?t think Giannis would want to go to OKC.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

As to the series, SAS was able to keep the possession stats close.  OKC was "only" +2.1 points per game for 2ndPts + PtsoffTOV.  In the regular season, OKC dominated this stat.  SAS held their own in this critical aspect.

3P% shooting and overall FG% was very even.  SAS was +3.0 in FTA and +2.3 in FTM per game.  This probably helped lead to SAS winning the TS% battle 56.3% to 53.3%.

I don't know that Giannis and SGA would play well together.

They both want to dominate the ball. Neither guy can play off the ball. Both are #1 options with limitations on their jump-shooting.

Seeing a young team do that, on the road, in a Game 7 was impressive as heck.

We get that ?99 Finals rematch and imagine it will play out the same way.

I loved that 1999 Knicks team but I loved Tim Duncan & the Spurs more. I was delighted to see TD get his 1st ring. He was dominant in that series.

I don't have any love for either of these present day Knicks team or Spurs team. This is more like the Bulls in 1990s when you were -- or at least I was -- hoping for "anyone but Jordan".

Does that Spurs win say anything about the finals last year, when the Pacers-Thunder went 7 games and Hali was on a heater before he tore his achilles?

Denver could have knocked OKC out last year too in a Game 7 especially if Aaron Gordon did not get injured. DEN unlucky with injuries to A Gordon 2 straight postseasons.
