Spurs 9-17 (53%) from three early Q2.

Only taken 27 FGA. 17 of 27 shots (63%) have been 3s.

OKC just need to stay close while Spurs got through this hot streak.

Not sure it's a good sign that the Spurs shot really well and defended SGA pretty well but are only up 7 at halftime

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Helluva 3rd quarter by the Spurs.

We might be getting that Game 7.

Feels like every time I tune in to a playoff game there?s a 20 point lead. Was hoping I?d catch the last quarter of a decent game. Another blowout.

It was 65-60 Spurs lead with 10:28 to play in Q3.

It ended up being 92-66 by the end of the quarter. A 27-6 run by San Antonio. Holmgren got the last bucket of the quarter. Before that bucket, it was a 27-4 run in a little over 9min.

The WCF is totally the NBA Finals. Game 7. Spurs did what they needed to do in Game 6.

I think this is the end for the Spurs as OKC has the edge at home. Hostile crowd. High energy. They'll bounce back. But it'll be a good game.

Stephon Castle

First 2 games = 20 turnovers, 19 assists
Last 4 games = 6 turnovers, 28 assists

That is since the return of D Fox at PG.

After shooting 29% from 3 in G5, Spurs shot 37% from 3 tonight. OKC went from shooting 43% from 3 in G5 to 25% tonight. It's not the be-all end-all but if you ran a regression to determine which variables influence winning in today's NBA making or missing 3s is probably right at the top of the list (for better or for worse).

Just to add to the above, Knicks have the highest 3pt% of any team in the postseason at 40%.

I wonder if this is meaningfully different than, say, 15 years ago?

That's not a leading question, just a curiosity, since the initial presumption would be that in any given game, the team that made more 3 pointers would tend to win the game.

Probably more true now, since the teams that shoot the fewest threes today shoot more than the league leaders 15 years ago.  Going 6/15 from 3 compared to 5/15 from 3 is going to create less point disparity than teams that go 18/45 against 15/45.
