He is why I thought Boston should trade Brown accumulate more draft picks, and tank hard with their own pick and ahat they'd get for Brown.  Having multiplebpicks next year and at least one in the lottery would be great.  Also would allow Boston to get under salary cap this year and next year to do a full reset.

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

It?s definitely a reasonable thought. Of course there?s anything but a guarantee of the number 1, so I?d be interested in knowing how the top 5-10 prospects look.  As the Cs get through their first half of the season there are a ton of variables that could influence their direction.  JB?s performance will be a double-edged sword. He needs to play well for his value to be high; but the Cs can?t be doing too well in W-L if they?re going to get good tank benefit after a trade.

Peterson is near unanimous #2 thar would be the top pick in many drafts.  Boozer (Carlos kid), Wilson, Brown, Williams, Cenac are all top 3 talent in most drafts. The draft is supposed to be one of the best drafts in a very long time.  Early obviously and things can change, but it is supposed to be a great draft (at least at the top).

I forget - I think it was one of the Legler over/under videos - where they talked about how they expect more teams than normal to tank early this season if they get off to a bad start. Precisely for this reason. That the draft has a load of talent at the top of it so you are not just pinning your hopes on getting the #1 pick but any of the top picks should yield a high end talent this year.

Someone, perhaps Legler said that he wasn't even sure there was an All NBA player in the last draft, including Flagg, but he put the over/under on 2.5 All NBA players next year.  It is supposed to be awesome, which is why a tank is so important this year.  If Boston backs their way into the playoffs only to lose in the 1st round it will be a wasted season.  They need to get the highend player out of this draft to either develop or trade.  It is the only way I see the team having any shot a title again with the Tatum/Brown duo.  It is why I felt they should tank.  It is why I believe the team should have traded White to Toronto and picked up the 9th pick (and Barrett).  It is why they should have traded Brown before the draft and tried to get the 2nd or 3rd pick (or some package with Houston involving 10 and some of their young players).

I just don't see a path to contention without hitting in the 26 draft and that is a lot easier if you have more than 1 shot at it and the team is just really bad.  Plus, they could have gotten below the salary cap this year and stayed below it next year to reset the tax.  That would be so helpful going forward.
