Old friend Jacoby Brissett breaks another old friends (Bledsoe) record for completions in a blowout loss to SF.   47-57 (over 450 yards; 2 INTs).

Wow.  That one surprises me.

It's crazy that Bledsoe's record held for 31 years.  NFL has become so much more pass heavy.  Goff tied it in 2019 but its surprising that no one had broken it.

It's crazy that Drew threw the ball 70 times in that game.  I remember the game, they were playing the Vikings, they were down like three scores at halftime, came back to win in OT.

Yeah.  Bledsoe v. Moon.  That was a wild game.  Kickstarted a 7 game winning streak to end the regular season.  That season was Bledsoe's coming out party.

Ja'Marr Chase suspended 1 game for spitting at Jalen Ramsey last night during their skirmish.

Chase will not play at home against the visiting New England Patriots this Sunday.

The haternades got another excuse to pile up on the Patriots next week now  ;D

The Patriots schedule is so easy that they didn't even have to play a game yesterday!

You guys have great memories -  I am usually terrible at remembering specific games and details. For some reason your posts sparked a memory for me. It was Jim Plunkett's first game as a Patriot.  A friend of my father's took me to the game with his family.  I was 13.   Plunkett threw 2 TDs to Randy Vataha (one was 88 yards - just confirmed on Chat) - and what had been a god-awful Pats team beat a strong Raiders team.  The crowd was ecstatic - in disbelief.  Plunkett was the number 1 pick and he was going to be a savior.  But... it didn't quite turn out that way despite a great start on a September day in 1971.  As Vataha was catching passes, people around were saying "who is this guy" - no one knew his name.  Someone finally said "that's Randy Vataha".  Probably the best game of his career.

Who will be fired after the season?

New York Giants & Tennessee Titans already haves
My predictions:
Bengals fire Zac Taylor pleaseeeee
Arizona fires Johnathon Gannon
Atlanta fires Raheem Morris
Miami fires Mike McDaniels
Cleveland fires Kevin Stefanski

Pittsburgh and Mike Tomlin May part ways by mutual agreement if they don?t make playoffs

New Orleans & New York Jets will keep their coaches
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Mike Tomlin might've saved himself with the good early start, but we'll see. Harbaugh could get the hot seat if Baltimore can't get it done

Cam Newton calling the Patriots current 9-2 run "Fool's gold", while giving great praise of the Indianapolis Colts with a 8-2 record. At least the Pats beaten the Bills and Tampa on the road.

I know who was fool's gold tho...Cam Newton playing for the Patriots during their bridge year. That or he was fool's gold.

It?s a thoughtless, weak take.  A bad loss at any point will allow him to claim superior insight.  The more accurate and thoughtful skeptic would admit that Pats have been a surprise, have wildly exceeded expectations, have a young qb who appears to be the real deal, and have a future all of a sudden that looks to be one that may include Super Bowl contender in the next couple of years.   Say that you think it?s too soon, that there?s not quite the depth or experience this year, but hand it to them for bringing excitement back to NE.

I agree with Cam being the fool part, not so sure about the gold part.

Not sure why he is so bitter.  He was given a chance when no other team would.  His arm was shot, he could barely throw.  What is his problem?

I can't take Cam Newton's opinions seriously in that ridiculous getup with the hat he's always in

Pats record is definitely open to being analyzed and questioned. However, calling it "fool's gold" is pretty lazy.  Patriots do have some respectable quality wins there.

Now are they built for a long playoff run? That's the big question.

Pats have had the easiest schedule, that is for sure.  But teams like IND and DEN, even BUF have had easier than average schedules.  There is no team, at least in the AFC, that appears to be a lock for a long run in the playoffs.  I don't know that BUFF, KC, and BAL, for example have done anything to establish themselves as a top team.  Neither have IND, DEN, LAC, or PIT.

There are plenty of reasons to doubt that Pats.  But there are plenty of reasons to doubt all the top teams.

There aren't a whole lot of good teams.

They just need to keep doing what they're doing and they can hang with anyone.
