A playoff series does not start until you win on the road. Is that what the infamous Doc Rivers likes to say?

It started in Game 1 when the Knicks won then  :police:

Heart says Cs big today.

Head says we are going to be in for another long afternoon where the Cs struggle from 3 and have to try to win late.

Celtics 108
Knicks 98

Tatum 36 points, Jaylen with 27/7 and good defense, Horford and White make some big shots in crucial moments, and our 3s fall in more today

nobody here knows or has any clue. just throw darts and you have a better chance of predicting what will happen. we are back to the bi polar 2023 team again. never know what you gonna get. just like a box of chocolates. we could be great or crap the bed again.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

The highlighted is true but BOS if favored by 5.5 points on ESPN Bet.  Oddsmakers don't know either, but the betting line does tell you something.

I don't know and would not dare make a prediction.  I don't bet much, but if I did, I would not bet on this one.  I would have thought the Celtics would win games 1 and 2 so I would have already lost some money.  I will just say that if we do win, no matter how we win, the complexion of the series changes dramatically from how it feels right now.  We have squandered any margin for error.

Bingo! They are back to the 2023 team again. Joe has regressed these guys with his horrible coaching. They look lost at times.

Hoping for the absolute best today.

Expecting the worst.

Will be elated if they win and wake up. If they lose...reality will firmly set in.

I am excited. We might actually have a decent series here.

I was so tuned out of the series to begin with. And the Orlando series. Because neither represented any type of credible competition / threat to the Celtics. Now there is some real jeopardy.

This is where the fun happens!!

TP for FL for the game thread.   LETS GO CELTICS!!!

Time for the energy to shift and for us to start playing closer to our ceiling instead of our floor.   Really hoping to see some urgency and better defense leading to more transition points.   Attack, attack attack.    We can't be on our heels and let the knicks dictate the play in crunch time.   The series is now, gotta win this game.

Picked up Indian takeout. It will either be celebration food or comfort food tonight

  • Yup
Step 1: Save some face and get a solid performance/win
Step 2: Make this a series and come back to Boston wearing your big boy pants again
Step 3: Don't be satisfied with yourself and revert back to the BS of the first 2 home court debacles
Step 4: Finish cleaning up your mess and move on to the next round

orrrrrrrrrrr fail miserably and take your spot as one of the biggest disappointments ever.

I know they're capable and I'll be rooting like hell for them.  But those first two losses were some of the toughest ever to watch unfold.
