I am concerned about Brown and his knee. He does not look healthy. Not a lot of lift on shots. Really struggled on defense against guys he has been good against when healthy.

Not sure if he can get to another gear this playoffs like he did last season.

I thought he looked close to normal in the Orlando series...at least compared to what he was before the rest and injection to end the season. It looked to be messing him up in the last game. I am interested to see what he looks like tonight.

edit: I looked up his stats to see if I was being hopeful. In the first round against the Magic, 23.0/7.6 reb per game on 49/44/84 shooting splits. That kind of production would be great over the playoffs. This last game worried me on the eye test though.

Easy win.

Whoa there. Easy? I will take any kind of win tonight. Have not been this concerned since heading into Game 3 vs Miami last season.

I think we win and win by a lot, but I?ll feel a lot better once the W has been recorded.

If we played the Knicks 1,000 times, we would probably win 750 games and the Knicks 250. So I?m a sample size that big, losing a game or two at the beginning wouldn?t hurt. But in a seven game series? A second loss would be really ugly. A significant statistical deviation, but certainly not a non-zero possibility.

Having said that, every time we?ve had one of these humiliating losses, we?ve come back the next game. Sometimes it?s a blowout,  and sometimes it?s Game 4 against the Magic. As long as it?s a win, I?ll take it.

It could be worse. I could be a Cavs fan.

Hauser doubtful, NBD, he didn't play much anyway, nice weapon to have when he is on, but not essential.  But the disappearance of Porzingis is worrying.  Hard to think that he will be that much improved in 2 days over not even being able to play.  If they could fix him this easily, they would have fixed him weeks ago.

Maybe play him off the bench.  Have him on the court against their bench?

I find it hard to take NY seriously. They have underachieved all season. They are weak. They are soft. No grit. No heart. Their defense has massive holes in it.

This will be an easy win & an easy series.

I agree 100 percent which is why game 1 was so frustrating. I think the Knicks suck but Boston did not play hard and were very very lazy in the game.

It?s that simple, NY played harder and the Celtics didn?t. They thought they were going to hit some of those terrible 3?s they shot and then wouldn?t have to give that much effort to win. That backfired obviously.

If the Celtics show up amd play hard then no one is beating them in a series plain and simple. That?s what made the other night infuriating, they didn?t play hard in a playoff game. I guess we will find out if it?s a one off or not. If it?s not then Joe has to be fired since he can?t get this team motivated for the playoffs.

I'm not going to defend the number of 3s the Celtics took, but they shot 7-32 on open 3s and 7-24 on wide open 3s (and 1-4 on tight defense 3s). They shot 38% on those shots in the regular season. So it's not like they were bad shots, they were just stupid to keep taking them when they were ice cold. I also agree they were incredibly lazy and entitled once they got that 20 point lead.

For comparison sake, the Knicks shot 9/17 on open 3s and 8/14 on wide open 3s.

That game was so awful to watch, but the stats above show that the Celtics should absolutely dominate the rest of this series. Hopefully we don't just completely fall apart for an entire series.

That's me going into every school test

But agree. It sucks to lose HCA, but I am confident we can steal a game at MSG. But obviously we need to tie it 1-1, go down 2-0 and it's Joever
