Woke up. Sunrise was beautiful this morning. New day. On to Game 2

We're saying Boston shot themselves in the foot by missing 45 of 60 three-pointers and the Knicks squeaked by with a 3-point win in OT, sure.

But give the Knicks their flowers, too. Great defense at the end by the Knicks in OT. Great execution. KAT didn't have a great game yet, and the Knicks missed 14 of their FTs. This could been a lot worse. Hope the C's do not underestimate them moving forward this series by treating it like regular season meetings.

If they don't come out and blow doors in Game 2 then I'll be concerned. Yes, I know the main priority is the W and getting out of Game 2 1-1. But this team just blew a 20 point lead and they are way more talented than NY. If they play down to NY again and even if they squeak by with a close win late that's not really encouraging when also thinking about the road ahead.

Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure the C's haven't had any game this postseason so far where they actually punched the opponent in the mouth and got off to a fast start. Every start has been slow and shaky, same thing yesterday. Last year's team did have the Game 2 letdowns but they did have other games with fast starts early and where they asserted dominance for a full 48.

They aren?t blowing doors in game 2?.Knicks will see a huge opportunity to take a commanding lead in this series and play just as hard or harder then the Celtics?it?ll likely have to be a hard fought close win.

Then they aren't making the Finals. CLE/IND will feast on this team. I'm getting more 2023 vibes from this team than 2024.

Porzingis and Hauser are day to day according to Mazzulla. Wonderful.

If Hauser's out too, then looks like Craig/Queta/Baylor have a shot

2024 they also didn?t play anybody, every crap team they played in the east also was missing there best player last year and were gifted a matchup against the mavericks in the finals.
This years run was never gonna be like that.

Can't be worse than Hauser's been.

I have no real words about last night.

I'm not sure I've ever been that infuriated at a Celtics team while the game was still in process.

It was one of those times when you're thinking, "How does no one on the team realize what's happening?" Or maybe they did realize it; in which case my question is, Why didn't anyone do anything about it?

Exactly.  How does no one have a feel for the situation? Outside of Jrue, it seemed like everyone, coaches included, were oblivious to how the game was changing in front of their eyes and make zero adjustments to the situation.  How are you a professional athlete and have no feel to what was unfolding?

It makes you want to scream and punch a wall when you're seeing it as a fan.

Tatum would be switched on to Brunson a handful of times and still settle for a stepback 3. Really?? Tatum started the game with 13 points on 4-5 shooting. The last 3 quarters + OT? 10 points on 3-18 shooting. Just stupid.

It's similar to how last year these West teams just purposely made it easy for Dallas to hide Doncic on defense and not exploit that. C's and Tatum allowed Thibs and Brunson to do the same last night particularly in the 2nd half.

Half of the Knicks were in foul trouble and then in the 2nd half they just stopped attacking and trying to at least draw some more fouls

The way they played last night? No way they shot themselves in the foot last night, unless they were aiming for their hands or something.

But Phantom has the right attitude. New day, on to Cincinnati.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why so many players and coaches don't try to get the opponent in foul trouble; or, once they are in foul trouble, attack them more to get more foul shots and/or easy layups.
