I know the Celtics cannot sign Ben Simmons, but if there was a team that could get the best out of him as a role player it is the Celtics.

Horford
Simmons
Hauser
Craig
Prichard

Or

Porzingis
Simmons
Tatum
White
Prichard
Honestly, I don?t think so. Simmons can?t shoot so I do not see him as a good fit for Mazzulla-ball.

Bones Hyland waived.  Minorly surprised.

Ahh, that is sad. I'd love to see him get some run somewhere. I suppose the warning sign was there when the Hawks GM did not mention him in the press release after acquiring him.

The Hawks now have two ball-handling wings in T Mann and C LeVert off their bench. They should let them be the PGs and avoid a typical PG altogether. Have Trae Young as the only small guard in the rotation. Then surround him with big athletic defensive players. Jalen Johnson was also doing a good job as a backup PG in the 2nd unit before he got injured. I don't they need another PG.

Hawks Bench

G: T Mann, V Krejci
G: G Matthews, K Bufkin
F: C LeVert
F: L Nance Jr, G Niang
C: I Okongwu

Nance Jr will probably start for the remainder of the season with Jalen Johnson out. So Georges Niang will be the primary backup PF. That is a nice bench. Strong. I like Garrison Matthews. Nice shooter at SG. Got a bit of scrappiness to him.

Three high level bench pieces in Mann, LeVert and Okongwu. Another good bench piece in L Nance. Strong deep bench pieces beyond them in Niang & G Matthews.

Should we be looking at Jalen Hood-Schifino? I've only seen him play a couple of times. He looks like he'd be a play worth picking up...

I don't think he is an NBA caliber player. A bust.

Can't defend. Can't score. Can't shoot.

He can handle it a bit. He can pass it a bit. But neither well enough to make up for how bad his game is elsewhere.

If Cam Reddish is bought out I hope Brad gives him a look. He could be a worthy reclamation project.

So the Clippers would be

G: James Harden, Kris Dunn
G: Norm Powell, Bogdanovic
F: Derrick Jones Jr, A Coffey
F: Kawhi Leonard, Nic Batum, Ben Simmons
C: I Zubac, Mo Bamba, D Eubanks

Hard to see where B Simmons fits in in terms of a rotation spot. Looks a 3rd stringer to me. Unless Kawhi goes down again. Then maybe he gets a chance.

I think Mo is gone so Simmons is your back up center...

San Antonio should sign Mo Bamba. They need a backup center. They just signed Biyombo to a 10 day.

Indiana signed Alex Len who was released by whichever team acquired him at the trade deadline. Maybe Washington.

Mo Bamba might as well retire. He is sneakily one of the biggest busts in NBA history.

Bamba simply has never worked hard at basketball. Seeing his lack of effort (on and off the court), I would wager he does not enjoy the sport.

In the modern NBA if you were physically building the perfect centre, it would be him.

7 feet tall, 710 wingspan, wide shoulders, athletic, fluid running motion & natural shooting touch.

During the NBA combine, Bamba posted a faster 3/4 court sprint time than Westbrook, Wade & Wall.

Look at his frame in college. After a few seasons in the NBA he should be built like Giannis or prime Dwight Howard.

Wait have I been living under a rock? I thought he was doing solid off the bench for LAC? I know he was traded but I just assumed it was the business of it

I feel like you did not read my post properly lol

Bamba is only 26 years old.

He has been cut loose by the 76ers & Lakers (both teams are desperate for a serviceable back up centre).

If you watch him play for a few minutes you would see he is lazy, soft and unreliable.

Portland picked up Sidy Cissoko.

Nice move. Young talented athletic player for free. Great low risk high reward signing. Ideal for a rebuilding team.

I would've liked to have seen Brad Stevens add Cissoko to the Celtics. He could have been a cheap rotation player in the near future.
